SP Jain Mumbai Placements Highlights

The latest placement report from SPJIMR has been released. The one-year full-time PGPM program for 2021 has a mix of foreign and domestic companies visiting the campus to recruit students, with an average salary of Rs 19.5 lakhs.

The final placement results were announced on 24th March 2021. The overall average salary package is up by 15% compared to 2020's final placements.

SP Jain Mumbai Placements Process 2022

The SPJIMR PGDM final placements 2021 saw robust participation from recruiters across the sectors. 75 recruiters participated in the final placement process at the institute for the first time. The total number of companies participating stood at 131.

The entire process includes two phases: internships that occur between August to October every year, and the final batch of placements after graduation. SPJIMR provides companies with an opportunity to conduct their recruitment processes during the placement program. This helps them in declaring the final list of student profiles selected for offer. SPJIMR placement process facilitates a talent pool that contributes to future collaborations at SPJIMR.

SP Jain Mumbai Placements Reports 2022

With over 130 companies participating in the online placement drive, there were ample opportunities to get placements. SPJIMR has enjoyed the sustained goodwill of the many companies that vouch for their students at their workplaces. This year, there was an increase of 30% in the number of final-year students placed. The average salary packages offered were higher than last year by 15%.

With the ongoing pandemic condition, the board and the college committee decided to conduct the entire process online to avoid any physical contact. Also, the process followed the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health.

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research Sector-wise Placements:

The SPJIMR sector-wise placements 2021 resulted in a polar shift in the preference of the top recruiters. While Management Consulting emerged as the most preferred sector at SPJIMR, other sectors like e-commerce, and finance tag behind closely.

The trend was delineated owing to a substantial increase in the number of offers made by other sectors such as consulting, financial services, and the non-profit sector, which created a balance for the placement offers.

These figures are only indicative of the offer-seat ratios for these sectors. The substantial hike in FMCG and e-commerce companies' offers for placements 2021 indicates the shifting job destination preferences of aspiring students.

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research Function-wise Placements:

While many factors affect the students' final job destination, SPJIMR function-wise placements still remain an index that is followed among peers to highlight the overall popularity of various sectors within the top management institutes.

Consulting/IT Consulting:

  • 36% of the batch found opportunities in consulting roles
  • Top recruiting companies include Deloitte USI, PwC US Advisory, Accenture Strategy, Bain & Co., Boston Consulting Group, EY GDS, GEP, IBM Consulting, Infosys Consulting and KPMG

FMCG 

  • Roles were offered across Sales & Marketing, Systems, Corporate Finance and Supply Chain Operations
  • Industry giants like Asian Paints, Colgate-Palmolive, General Mills, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Johnson & Johnson, L'Oréal, Marico, Nestle, Pidilite, Procter & Gamble, RB offered over 40+ roles 

E-Commerce and IT:

  • Amazon, Cloudtail, Flipkart, Go-MMT, Grofers, OYO, and Prione rolled out 30 plus offers 
  • The roles offered included Product Management, Analytics, Program Management, and Tech Sales 
  • Corporate IT roles were offered by Amway, Asian Paints, HUL, Mondeléz, and P&G

BFSI:

  • Prominent recruiting firms included American Express, Citi, HSBC, Bajaj Finserv, IDFC First Bank, ICICI Bank, PayTM, Yes Bank, Axis Capital, Jefferies, Nomura, DE Shaw and ICICI Prudential AMC
