The SP Jain PGDM is a two-year program with six industrial-oriented elective courses designed to provide 360-degree management education. The curriculum is entirely industry-led and tailored, keeping in mind the latest industry standards, best practices, and student's aspirations.

SP Jain Mumbai Admission Criteria

SPJIMR admission to most of its courses is based on merit. Students seeking admission to SPJIMR Mumbai 2022-23 batch should satisfy the requisite eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The application forms for all the programs can be accessed on the official website. The following table encapsulates the SPJIMR admission eligibility criteria:

Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA awarded by a recognised University or educational institution

Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGPM)

Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and entrance exam (CAT/GMAT) scores. Also, work experience of 5 years is mandatory

Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

Master’s degree with at least 55% and Bachelor’s degree with at least 50%  from any discipline and entrance exam (CAT/GRE/GMAT/XAT/MAT/PET/NET)  scores

OR

Five-year/four-year Integrated Master’s Degree in any discipline, with at least 55% marks along with entrance exam (CAT/GRE/GMAT/XAT/MAT/PET/NET) scores

OR

Professional qualification like CA/ICWA/CS with at least 55% marks along with entrance exam (CAT/GRE/GMAT/XAT/MAT/PET/NET) scores

 

Post-Graduate Management Programme for Women (PGMPW)

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and entrance exam (CAT/XAT/NMAT/GMAT)) scores. Also, work experience of 4 years is mandatory with a minimum 1-year career break

Global Management Program (GMP)

Bachelor’s degree in any stream with 60% and above along with entrance exam (CAT/XAT/GMAT) scores and TOEFL/IELTS score. Work experience isn’t compulsory for admission

Highlights of the SP Jain Admission Rules:

  • XAT entrance exam scores will no longer be accepted for admission to the PGDM program offered by the institution
  • The shortlisting criteria is profile based. Applicants are required to meet the qualifying score in CAT/GMAT
  • On account of safety regulations owing to the pandemic, the Personal Interview Round may be conducted online for the 2022-24 batch
  • For PGDM, CAT, and GMAT scores are considered 

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research Admission Process

While applying to the SPJIMR B-School for MBA, you will be required to select one out of four specializations. The application form asks you to rank the specializations you prefer. The disciplines can be anyone from these: Finance, Information Management, Marketing, and Operations & Supply Chain.

The specialization fields are intended to provide flexibility to the course structure within the broad rubric, allowing for professional development along specific career paths.  The preferred specialization of the admission process will be given importance during the admission process.

SP Jain Finalizing the List of Selected Candidates:

The selection list is generated on the basis of the composite score, which includes parameters like applicant’s profile, past academic record, entrance test scores (CAT/GMAT), relevant work experience (if any), and performance in the two rounds of group interviews. SPJIMR does not offer the provision of deferment of an admission offer to subsequent years. Any kind of misrepresentation or suppression of information by an applicant during the admissions process at any stage will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature from SPJIMR.

Admission to the program is strictly based on merit. The weightage of the various parameters (Overall profile, Academic background, Work experience, Entrance scores, Versatility and achievements) considered throughout the admission process is not released by the institute. 

SP Jain Online Interview Rounds:

SPJIMR admission interview is a two-phase process. The first phase includes candidates shortlisted on the basis of the profile subject to meeting the minimum score in the qualifying exam. The criteria for second phase candidates is profile cum score based. First phase candidates are called in for an early interview. This is followed by interviews for the phase two candidates post availability of qualifying scores. Detailed information pertaining to the interview process/requirements are shared with the shortlisted applicant's post the shortlist is declared.

In order to ensure the safety of candidates for admissions to its flagship program PGDM 2022 – 2024, SPJIMR may conduct interviews for candidates virtually, instead of on-campus.

  • Applicants should have completed their 12th standard with appropriate proof of marks to qualify for the MBA programs at SP Jain.
