The Main Pollutants responsible for Causing the Greenhouse Effect, Acid Rain and Ozone Layer depletion are CFCs, CO₂ and SO₂. Chlorofluorocarbons, Carbon dioxide and Sulphur dioxide are the main pollutants that contribute to global warming. The greenhouse effect, acid rain and ozone layer depletion are all factors that are contributing to global warming which leads to rising temperatures and harm to our environment.

Which Gas is Responsible for Greenhouse Effect

Chlorofluorocarbons, Carbon dioxide and Sulphur dioxide are the main reasons behind the various harms that the earth has to go through. Serious issues such as the greenhouse effect, ozone layer depletion and acid rain are all caused due to the chemicals that are released into the environment by humans. These problems result in heat rising which is leading to serious issues like the melting of icebergs and an overall increase in the earth’s temperature.

Greenhouse Effect refers to the heat which gets trapped in the earth’s surface. Due to it, the surface temperature of the planet increases as well. It is caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, methane and water vapour in the air.
Acid Rain is when sulphur dioxide gets mixed in the atmosphere. As a result of this, when it rains these harmful chemicals get mixed with them and react with the water to cause pollution.
Ozone Layer Depletion is a serious problem. The ozone layer acts as a protectant against the sun’s harmful rays. However, due to its depletion, these rays reach the earth resulting in increased heat on its surface.
