The selected candidates are required to serve across the Maharashtra State. To be selected as a Police Constable in the Maharashtra Police Bharti, a candidate needs to qualify for two of the screening tests:

Maharashtra Police Bharti Exam Scheme 2021, Marking Scheme

The written test is the first screening test for the recruitment of Maharashtra Police Bharti. It includes one paper to be conducted in the objective mode. There will be 100 Qs with 100 marks with a time duration of 1 hour 30 mins (90 mins). Weightage of Written Test is as follows:

To be called for a physical Test, a candidate needs to have secured a minimum of 35% marks of belonging to the Unreserved category and 33% marks in case he/she belongs to some reserved category. The candidates called for the Physical Test are in the ratio of 1:10 of the number of vacancies advertised as per the respective categories.

Note: All the candidates in the Scheduled Caste candidate at 100th rank shall be eligible to appear for a physical Test. Likewise, all the Scheduled Tribes category candidates who have secured the same marks as the Scheduled Tribes candidate raking 50th rank will be eligible to appear for a Physical Test.

Maharashtra Police Bharti 2021 Physical test

The physical test will be carrying 50 marks, and various tests assessing the physical fitness will be conducted by the Police Department. There are long and short runs of 1600m and 100m running for the male candidates and 800 m running, and 100 m running for the female candidates, including the shot, put. The details are as follows:

  • The physical test is conducted for a total of 50 marks. The breakup of marks is as follows: 30 marks for the long run, 10 marks for the short run and 10 marks for shot put.

  • A female candidate appears the same written test of 100 marks for 90 mins. The variation is in the screening for the physical test, i.e., she is assessed for 50 marks and needs to appear for 800 m running, 100m running, and shot put.

  • Yes, it is correct. There are few questions related to General Knowledge, and Current Affairs varies with each district. Few specific questions are asked concerning the districts.

  • The application form for the Maharashtra Police Bharti Exam is to be filled strictly through online mode. But the candidate is allowed to appear for both the written and physical test in each of the major districts through an offline mode.

  • The Maharashtra Police Bharti written exam have multiple-choice questions.
