So, as per the tentative schedule of the CLAT-2022 Exam, only 10 months are left for preparation.
Having said that, let’s talk about the 10 most important things to qualify for CLAT in your retake. You must keep these points in mind while preparing for CLAT and trying to reserve your seat in top NLUs.
1. Start Preparing Early
To be prepared is the half victory. There are so many advantages you can take by being an early bird. You will have sufficient time to know the course and pattern of CLAT 2022. There is no time for procrastination. Do it from today only and reserve your seat in top law colleges.
2. Developing Time Management Skills
The right plan of action is the key here. The CLAT 2022 exam will include 150 objective-type questions that have to be completed in 120 minutes. This means that you will get less than a minute to answer a question. In such a situation, time management and accuracy are assets that will pay rich dividends.
3. Positive attitude and health practices
Positivity and confidence are vital ingredients for you to score more marks. You just need to put your hundred percent in the exam and don’t get stressed and anxious about your year drop. You might have spent some sleepless nights; this is why you need to take care of your health as well. If you fall sick during the exam, all your hard work will go in vain.

Before you finalize your decision, how about considering these points as well:
1. You have reached the peak of your potential in CLAT 2021 – Measure your ‘potential’ in terms of CLAT ‘rank’ and not ‘score’. Overall CLAT scores were quite high, unusually low, or moderate. It reflects CLAT difficulty level in a particular year and does not necessarily reflect your CLAT scoring potential. Rank allotment ‘normalizes’ or adjusts for difficulty levels. You may have reached the peak of your potential and can’t get a significantly better rank next year. Hence you may decide to accept the best available law school (NLU or non-NLU) and start law school studies
2. Cost constraints may restrict your law school selection – Most National Law Universities and autonomous universities like Symbiosis Law School cost between Rs. 8 and Rs. 10 lakh fees over a period of five years. Considering accommodation, food, and other expenses, the total amount that you have to shell out can be as high as Rs. 12 to Rs. 13 lakh. This can be one of the law school selection factors. If CLAT is one of the many entry points that you can take to enter law school, other institutes may score in terms of the overall cost. We have seen a few students selecting law schools on this basis.
3. Getting/ Not Getting into NLUs is not the end of the road – Many successful and reputed law professionals are of this opinion. One builds a remarkable legal career over a period of 20-25 years by taking appropriate decisions about working in the right places, positions, and roles. One should know how to ride on the opportunities, isn’t it? So, select the best possible option and move on.
