AILET 2024 exam date is declared and it is scheduled to be conducted on 10 December 2023. The All India Law Entrance Test is a national-level law exam conducted by NLUD every year to initiate the admission process for candidates who are interested to join NLUD to study law. As per the latest updates, AILET 2024 notification is now released and the registration will be started from 7 August 2023, onwards. So, the candidates who want to join NLUD to study law in both UG and PG courses must start their preparation now for the upcoming AILET Exam 2024.

There are three sections in AILET: English Language, Logical Reasoning and Current Affairs & General Knowledge. The total exam duration is 90 minutes and the candidates will get 150 questions (AILET ug courses) in total to solve. Considering last year’s analysis, the overall difficulty level of the AILET usually remains moderate, but the competition level of this exam is a little high. AILET 2024

Every year, the authority of NLUD conducts AILET in the month of December to commence the law admission process at NLUD for different UG, PG and PhD courses. As per the latest updates, the AILET 2024 will be conducted on 10 December 2023. Recent Changes in AILET

In 2022, NLU Delhi removed 2 sections from AILET. It includes Elementary Mathematics and Legal Aptitude. It remained the same in 2023. So, the candidates aiming at the upcoming AILET 2024 can expect the same exam pattern and syllabus.

  • As per the latest official changes, Legal Aptitude and Math sections have been dismissed from the BA LLB exam pattern of AILET.
  • There are 3 chapters in AILET UG Exam Pattern: English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning.
  • AILET Total Questions: 150 questions
  • AILET Exam Duration: 90 Minutes

What is AILET?

The All India Law Entrance Test AILET is a national-level Law Exam for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs in NLUD. It is an important exam and tests candidates’ skills in 3 different chapters including English Language, Logical Reasoning and Current Affairs & General Knowledge. AILET 2024 will be administered by NLUD on 10 December 2023 across the country. Therefore, before applying, the candidates appearing for AILET Exam 2024 must check all the exam details, including the exam pattern, question types, difficulty level, and eligibility.

In 2022, NLUD made some changes in the AILET exam pattern, in which the Legal Aptitude and Elementary Mathematics sections were removed. The AILET 2024 will have 150 questions divided into three sections:

  • English
  • Logical Reasoning
  • General Knowledge.

The candidates must complete the entire AILET 2024 Paper within 90 minutes of the exam schedule. Note that there is AILET Negative Marking: for every incorrect answer, -0.25 marks will be deducted, and you will be awarded +1 for each correct answer. Try to practice AILET Sample Paper as often as possible to develop your accuracy and conceptual clarity for all the exam sections.

Who is Eligible for AILET?

Before filling out the application form, candidates need to confirm that they fulfil the AILET Eligibility 2024. It is a group of eligibility criteria for the candidates to take part in AILET 2024, which includes the age limit, educational qualifications and more. AILET Age Limit

There is no upper NLU Delhi age limit mentioned by the authorities to appear for AILET 2024. Candidates beyond any age can apply for AILET if they qualify for the basic educational requirements.

AILET Educational Qualification

As per the AILET 2024 Educational Details, the below-mentioned criteria are acceptable. Candidates can apply for AILET after 10+2, and graduation as per the specifications.

  • You must have cleared the Higher Secondary School Examination (10 + 2) or an equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for the reserved category).
  • Students who fall under the category of Foreign Nationals must have achieved at least 65% marks in the (10 + 2) exam.
  • Those students who are going to appear for the qualifying exam or awaiting results for the same are also eligible to apply for the AILET Entrance Exam.

  • If you are a candidate falling under the category of Foreign Nationals, you need not appear for the All India Law Entrance Test AILET.
  • Apart from the exemption from the admission test, other eligibility conditions for Foreign Nationals will remain the same.
  • Candidates belonging to the OCI/ PIO category shall be eligible to apply under the Foreign National category or Indian students.
  • OCI/PIO candidates who wish to apply under the Indian National category will be required to appear in the AILET 2024.

AILET 2024 Application Form

AILET Registration 2024 will be started from 7 August 2023 onwards on the official website of NLUD. The application form for AILET 2024 can be filled out online from the official website of the NLUD after it is released. AILET Exam fee 2024 is expected to remain same as the last year.

How do fill AILET Application Form?

Follow the below instructions to accurately fill out the online application form for AILET 2024.

  • Visit the official website of NLUD.
  • Register yourself with the official website first.
  • After filling in the details in the ‘User Registration Form’, check them carefully before submitting them.
  • Now, log in using the AILET Login credentials.
  • Choose the relevant AILET 2024 Application Form and click on ‘apply.’
  • Enter all the prescribed details mentioned in the AILET Exam 2024 form. Do not leave any section of the application form incomplete.
  • Submit the details and proceed to the payment gateway for submitting the AILET Exam Fees.
  • On the payment page, choose ‘mode of payment’ and verify the amount.

AILET 2024 Exam Pattern

As per the latest AILET Exam Pattern, the question paper will include 150 multiple-choice questions. The AILET Exam Pattern has been changed in 2022, and candidates must note the latest paper pattern to ace this exam in one chance.

  • NLU, Delhi tests candidates’ knowledge based on different subjects, including English, Reasoning, and General Knowledge.
  • AILET Negative Marking: NLU has set the criteria for negative marking to encourage candidates to perform well in the entrance test. Each incorrect answer will cost you a deduction of 0.25 marks, i.e., four incorrect answers will lead to a deduction of 1 mark.
  • Although no prior knowledge of law or legal principles/legal terminology is required for the exam, legal concepts may be used to examine candidates’ understanding and familiarity with legal reasoning in the logical reasoning portion.

AILET Exam Result & Scorecard Announcements

NLUD will publish AILET Result for all the appeared candidates within a week on its official website.
