Last Week Revision Strategy to Maximize Score in CDS 1 2022

Below are the last week's revision tips and strategy for the CDS 1 exam. Here we are providing you with the subject wise revision strategy for CDS exam.

General Knowledge & Awareness

1. Current Affairs have a good weightage and many questions can be asked from this part, so the importance of the section can’t be ignored.
2. Students must go through the last 6 months' current affairs, along with that important awards, important books & authors, places in the news, persons in the news, important sports tournaments, information related to important world organizations like G7, G20 Summits, ASEAN, UN Security Council etc should be studied for last year as well.
3. For General Science, Aspirants must go through the basic questions of Physics, Chemistry & Biology.
4. For History, focus on Modern history (Indian Freedom Struggle, Gandhian Era, Social Reforms, Revolt of 1857, Newspapers, Social Reforms), Medieval History (Mughal, Delhi Sultanate, Art & Culture, Administration), Ancient History (Indus Valley Civilization, Buddhism, Jainism, Gupta Era, Harsha Dynasty, Maurya, Magadha) 
5. For Geography, focus on Physical Geography (Composition of Earth, Latitude & Longitude, Physiography, Mountains & Passes, Grasslands, Landforms, Clouds), Indian Geography (Rivers, Glaciers, Mountain Peaks, Dams).
6. For the Economy, focus on a 5-year plan, Budget, Economic Survey, basic economic terms, economic theory, unemployment, WTO.
7. For Political Science, focus on Sources of Constitution, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, Articles of Constitution.

Elementary Mathematics

1. This section will give you good marks if prepared well with a good strategy.
2. Prepare the arithmetic part well.
3. Important topics from the Maths Section are Percentage, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Time & Work, Pipes and Cistern ( Moderate level questions from this topic), LCM, HCF, Square root, Number System, Statistics, Graphs etc.
4. It is expected that the level of questions would be Easy.

English

1. This section will give you good marks if you prepare well with a good strategy.
2. Some important topics are Antonyms/Synonyms, Fill in the blanks, Reading Comprehension, Idioms & Phrases, Error Spotting

Importance of Revision for CDS 1 2022 Exam

The most important phase of preparation is Revision. If the topics that you studied earlier are not properly revised, it is as good as not studied. The revision will help you memorize everything that you studied months back.

According to Science, if you will not revise whatever you have studied, you will forget 70 per cent of the data. Make a list of all the important topics & revise them. This will refresh your knowledge and you will feel confident to appear in the exam. Now here the question arises, How to revise?

We will not advise the oral revision method until and unless it is General Knowledge. Also, for efficient revision, we advise you to make GK sticky notes and paste them on your study table or board or anywhere in your room. Placing these Notes, formulas in front of your eyes all the time will help you learn the GK more easily than trying to mug them.

At the end of the day, revise all that you learned. For other subjects like Maths & English always revise intermittently. Eg. Start with Speed, Time & Distance topics of math & then go to error spotting and reading comprehension this way you will not feel overburdened.

Importance of Daily Mock tests for CDS 1 2022 Exam

This is the peak time & the best way to prepare for the exam and to attempt as many mocks as one can. The CDS mock test will not only help you align your performance in accordance with the time but will also increase your speed. The more you attempt, the more you become efficient.

Make a habit of attempting at least one mock test every day. Your task doesn't end here. After attempting mock tests, go through the detailed solution of the questions you solved wrong. Try to find if the question can be solved by any shortcut method or not. If you are continuously finding problems in solving a particular topic, give that topic some time and reattempt those questions. By attempting mock tests daily before the actual CDS 1 2022 Exam, students would cut down on the petty mistakes they may commit in the real exam.
