Haryana Education Board is responsible for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET). HTET is usually conducted once every year. We can expect the notification in upcoming days and there may not be enough time to prepare for the exam once the official notification is released. HTET 2021 - Important Points
- HTET is an offline Mode exam (pen and paper Mode)
- There is no negative marking in HTET exams.
- Each correct question will get you 1 mark.
- The total number of question & maximum marks is 150 for TGT, PGT & PRT exam.
- The mode of examination will be MCQ that is multiple-choice questions
- The level-II and level-III question paper will have a section based on the specific subject they opt.
HTET Exam Pattern 2021:
Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) Exam Pattern is approximately the same as other states Teacher Eligibility Test. HTET Consists of three levels (I, II & III) and each paper has 150 questions. Level - 1 for the primary teacher, Level -2 for Trained Graduate Teacher and Level -3 for Post Graduate Teacher.

Child Development and Pedagogy
CDP has always been the most difficult section in the HTET exam. Most of you may be comfortable in this section but never be overconfident which may harm you in the exam. If you are weak or average in this section then make a habit of practicing this section on a regular basis.
Some of the important topics to cover: Child Development, Thinking & Thought, Concept of Inclusive education, Special Need, Concept of learning
- How can you prepare for the Child Development and Pedagogy section? All you need to plan a daily schedule to practice all the different topics of this section.
- Practice the CDP questions from different topics on a daily basis.
- After practising, analyze your score & mistakes which you have made during the practice.
- This will give you an idea of how to approach these topics in exams.
English Section
Many of you are comfortable with the Reasoning and Quant section but always face difficulty in attempting the English section. If you are weak or average in this section then make a habit of practising English Questions on a regular basis. Just plan your schedule to cover all the important topics.
Some of the important topics to cover for the exam preparation are: Antonyms/Synonyms, Idioms & Phrase, One word substitution, Basic subject Grammar, Part of Speech, English grammar & Skills-based pedagogy
- How can you prepare for the English section? You need to plan a daily schedule to practice all the different topics of this section.
- After completing the Reasoning section, you can move to the English Section & try to practice for at least an hour a day.
- You can practice different topics. After practising, analyze your score & mistakes which you have made during the practice.

- Reading Comprehension – Practice at least 2 comprehensions daily.

हिंदी भाषा
आप हिंदी सेक्शन की तैयारी कैसे कर सकते हैं - इस सेक्शन के सभी अलग-अलग विषयों के अभ्यास के लिए आपको एक दैनिक कार्यक्रम की योजना बनाने की आवश्यकता है। दिन में कम से कम एक घंटे अभ्यास करने का प्रयास करें। आप विभिन्न टॉपिक्स का अभ्यास कर सकते हैं। अभ्यास करने के बाद, अपने स्कोर और ग़लतियों का विश्लेषण करें जो आपने अभ्यास के दौरान की हैं। इस अभ्यास से आपको यह पता चल जाएगा कि इन विषयों को परीक्षा में कैसे लाया जाए।

Quantitative Aptitude

Reasoning
Some candidates don’t know how to tackle this section and always start with the first questions or with puzzle type’s questions. If you are weak or average in this section then make a habit of practicing this section on a regular basis.
Just plan your schedule to cover all the important topics - Classification, Analogy, Series, Coding-Decoding, Blood Relation, Non-verbal
- How can you prepare for the Reasoning section – All you need to plan a daily schedule to practice all the different topics of this section.
- Practice 3 sets of 5 Questions on each topic on a daily basis. After practicing, analyze your score & mistakes which you have made during the practice. This exercise will give you an idea of how to approach these topics in exams.
General Awareness/Haryana GK
To score maximum marks (30+)in this section, make a habit of reading & revising the news on a regular basis. Just divide the topics & plan your schedule to cover all the important news.
- Please try to cover news from different topics, which are mentioned below –
(i) Current Affairs – National + International News, Sports News, Awards, Summits & Conferences, Schemes, Agreement & Deals, etc.
(iii) Static GK – Parks, Dam, environment, history, geography, folk dances, important personalities, etc. - How can you cover GK? Try to study the GK section for at least an hour per day.
Read it & make a note of important events & news.
Revise it on the same day, this exercise will make you master in this section.
Environmental Studies
Environment studies is also known as EVS is an important subject for PRT. 1-hour daily practice will help you to master this section.Almost all the questions ate attempt. Only one or two questions asked are tricky one.
Some of the important topics for this section are: Relationships, Work and Play, Plants, Things we Make and Do, Family & Foods, Water & Travel, Pedagogy of EVS
- So, from this section, you can attempt the maximum number of questions.
- Follow the syllabus and revise the topics accordingly.
- The topics that are important should be revised repeatedly.
- You can check out by following the previous year question papers
- Pay special attention to the pedagogy section, it can be tricky and will require clarity of concepts.
Concerned Subjects
This is very important and scoring subjects for the trained & postgraduate teacher (TGT & PGT) because from this section 60 questions will be asked. If this section covers all the important topics then easily can score more than 45 marks.
- For the concerned subject, candidates can prefer NCERT books.
- Give proper time and dedication to your subject of choice.
- Scroll through the previous year question paper and analyze the topic that is asked repeatedly in the previous years.
- This will help you plan a better preparation strategy for the HTET examination.
HTET Weekly Study Plan for PRT, TGT & PGT Exam:
Candidates should need to study at least 4 to 5 hours daily for the preparation of Haryana TET 2021 Exam. Divide all topics of each subject on a weekly basis so each topic will cover before the exam. Here we are sharing topic wise weekly study plans for each subject for PRT, TGT, and PGT.

Do’s and Don’ts during the HTET 2021
- Do not devote too much time on the question you are not sure with.
- Do not lose your calm.
- Do not be in a hurry while doing a question
- Do attempt the questions left in the remaining time.
- Do read all the questions properly.
- Do relax and stay calm.
- Do not forget to take the photo or photo ID proof and blue or black with you.
- Remember accuracy & time management is the key to getting through this exam.
