Important topics from the Maths Section are Percentage, Simple Interest and compound interest (formulae based ) , Profit and Loss, Time & Work, Pipes and Cistern ( Moderate level questions from this topic ), Basic Trigonometry, Basic Quadratic equation based questions, LCM, HCF, Square root, Basic Number System, Basic Statistics, Basic Graphs etc. are the important topics.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

  1. The reasoning is the most important section as it has the highest weightage & if one practices well in this section, marks can be scored easily.
  2. Candidates must solve as many questions that one can solve because once you become familiar with the patterns by practising the different types of questions, you will be able to score good marks.
  3. The topics which are asked more frequently and important for the exams are Statements & Assertions(Most Frequently Asked Topic ), Clocks, Calendar, Logical Reasoning, Mirror and Water Images, Series, Age-related questions, Distance & Directions etc.

Revision is necessary

The most important phase of preparation is Revision. If the important topics that you studied earlier are not properly revised, it is as good as not studied. The revision will help you memorize/ remember what all you studied months back. According to Science, if you will not revise what you have studied, you will forget 70% of the data and of course, you cannot afford this. Make a list of the important topics and revise them all. This will brush up your knowledge and you will feel confident to appear for the exam. Now here the question arises, How to do the revision?

We will not advice oral revision unless it is General Knowledge. Also, for efficient revision, we advise you to make GK sticky notes and paste them on your refrigerator or almirah or anywhere in your room. Placing these Notes/ charts in front of your eyes all the time will help you memorise the GK more easily than trying to mug them. At the end of the day, try to remember, revise what all you learned. For other subjects like Maths & Reasoning, always revise intermittently. Eg. Start with Speed, Time & Distance Topic of Maths and then switch to other reasoning topic say Coding-Decoding. This way, you will not feel overburdened.

Attempt Full Mock Daily Basis

This is the high time & the best way to prepare for the exam in the last time is to attempt as many mocks as one can. Practising mock test will not only help you align your performance in accordance with the time but also increase question-solving speed. The more you attempt the mock test, the more you become efficient. Make a habit of attempting at least 1 mock test daily. Your task doesn't end here. After attempting mock tests, go through the detailed solution of the questions you marked wrong. Try to find if that question can be solved by any shortcut method. If you continuously find problems in solving a particular topic, give that topic a couple of hours and reattempt those questions. By attempting mock tests daily before the actual RRB Group D Exam, students would cut down on the petty mistakes they may commit in the real exam.

That's it! If you will follow these simple steps in the last days before the exam, you will definitely reach closer to your desired goal. If you have any query in your mind, please feel free to write it in the comments section below.
