KVS TGT, PRT & PGT Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2022, Age Limit

KVS Teacher Eligibility Criteria 2022:

KVS Eligibility Criteria 2022 is prescribed by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in its official notification. The aspirants who are keen to apply for the KVS exam must go through the detailed eligibility as adherence to it is very important. According to the KVS 2022 Notification, the eligibility criteria for the post of Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Primary Teacher (PRT) are mentioned below in detail. 

KVS PGT Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

1. Two Year Integrated Post Graduate M.Sc./MA Course from Regional College of Education of NCERT in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

 OR 

Master’s Degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks in aggregate in concerned subjects.

2. B.Ed. or equivalent qualification from a recognized University for all the above PGT posts except Information & Technology.

3. Proficiency in Teaching Hindi and English languages.

Desirable Qualifications: - Knowledge of Computer applications.

KVS PGT Computer Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

1. At least 50% marks in aggregate in any of the following: B.E or B.Tech (Computer Science/IT) from a recognized University or equivalent Degree or Diploma from an institution/ university recognized by the Govt. of India. OR

B.E or B.Tech (any stream) and Post Graduate Diploma in Computers from a recognized University. OR

M.Sc. (Computer Science)/ MCA or Equivalent from a recognized University. OR

B.Sc. (Computer Science) / BCA or Equivalent and Post Graduate degree in the subject from a recognized University. OR

Post Graduate Diploma in Computer and Post Graduate degree in any subject from a recognized University. OR

‘B’ Level from DOEACC and Post Graduate degree in any subject. OR

‘C’ Level from ‘DOEACC’ Ministry of Information and Communication Technology and Graduation.

2. Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English.

Note: For subsequent promotion, the incumbent will have to acquire B.Ed. or equivalent degree.

KVS TGT Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

1. Four years integrated degree course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate. OR 

A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a recognized University with 50% marks or above in aggregate as well as in the concerned subject comprising the combination as under:

2. B.Ed. or equivalent from a recognized University.

3. Should pass the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET Paper-II) conducted by CBSE.

4.  Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English medium.

Desirable Qualifications: Knowledge of Computer applications.

KVS PRT Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

1. (a) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR

(b) Senior Secondary(or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) OR

(c) Senior Secondary(or it's equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR

(d) Graduation with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) who qualified as a Bachelor of Education from any NCTE-recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I-V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of such appointment as Primary Teacher.

2. Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test conducted by the Govt. of India.

3. Proficiency to teach in Hindi & English medium.

Desirable Qualifications: - Knowledge of Computer applications.

KVS PRT Music Teacher Eligibility Criteria:

Essential:
i)Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50% marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its equivalent and Bachelor's Degree in Music or equivalent from a recognized University.

ii)Competence to teach through English\Hindi medium.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

KVS TGT, PGT & PRT Teacher Age Limit 2022:

Note: Age relaxation will be given according to norms of the Central Government for SC, ST, OBC and Other Candidates.
