SNAP 2022: Key Learnings from SNAP 2021 (Slot-1,Slot-2& Slot-3)

SNAP is a national-level entrance exam conducted every year for MBA aspirants who aspire to join MBA programmes offered by any institute of Symbiosis International University (SIU). SNAP 2022 notification has been released. This year SNAP will be held on three different days same as that of SNAP 2021 : 10 December 2022, 18 December 2022, 23 December 2022 across 86 cities in India. Candidates aspiring to take the SNAP 2022 exam should focus on the key learnings from SNAP 2021 to ace the SNAP 2022 exam with good score.

There were a total of 60 questions (MCQ-based) spread across 3 sections. The time duration of this exam was 60 minutes. SNAP exam can be written thrice this year by the eligible candidates. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate in the year 2021.

Key Features of SNAP 2021 Slot-1 (19th December)

  • This year there was no question on Data Sufficiency.
  • There was no particular set of Data Interpretation, however only one question was asked.
  • Critical Reasoning questions were quite easy.
  • There were 2-3 incorrect questions in the Quantitative Aptitude part.
  • VA & LR was relatively easier as compared to SNAP 2020.

Key Features of SNAP 2021 Slot-2 (8th January)

  • There was no question on Data Sufficiency in Slot-2 of SNAP 2021 as well.
  • The overall difficulty level of the exam was Moderate.
  • The General English section was comparatively easier than the other sections than Slot-1.
  • Some of the questions were a bit challenging from the Analytical & Logical Reasoning section.
  • As compared to Slot-1, Slot-2 was slightly tougher.

Key Features of SNAP 2021 Slot-3 (16th January)

  • The overall difficulty level of Slot 3 of SNAP 2021 was Moderate
  • QA Section was comparatively easier than the previous 2 Slots of SNAP 2021
  • Slot 3 paper of SNAP 2021 was similar to Slot 1 and Slot 2
  • DI questions from the QA section were a bit challenging
  • There was no question on Data Sufficiency in Slot-3 of SNAP 2021 as well.

 

SNAP Exam Pattern 2022

The SNAP 2022 exam pattern is same as that of SNAP 2021. There is no change in the SNAP exam pattern this year.

SNAP 2021 Analysis Slot-1 (19 Dec)

There were a total of 60 MCQ-based questions with four options each. The time duration of this exam was 60 minutes. Now we should look at the sectional analysis to have a better understanding.

SNAP 2021 Analysis Slot-1 (Section-Wise)

General English Paper Analysis 2021:

  • There were a total of 15 questions in this section. This section overall was found easy as compared to SNAP 2021.
  • Most of the questions were asked from fill-in-the-blanks.
  • Question on Poem-based (Poem by Sarojini Naidu) RC was asked. 

Analytical and Logical Reasoning Analysis 2021:

  • There were a total of 25 questions in this section. The overall difficulty level of this section was easy to moderate.
  • 7 questions were from Critical Reasoning. The Critical Reasoning comprised of questions from Course of Action, Cause-Effect, Assumptions, Arrangements
  • Analytical Reasoning dominated this section. It comprised of questions from Coding-Decoding, Clocks & Calendars, Input-Output.

Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency Analysis 2021:

  • This section consisted of 20 questions in total. The difficulty level of this section was moderate to difficult. 
  • There was no question on Data Sufficiency.
  • 2-3 questions asked were incorrect. 
  • ​There was a question about 10 weightlifters participating in a weightlifting competition in Data Interpretation.
  • Algebra & Modern Maths dominated this section followed by Geometry & Modern Maths.

Learnings from SNAP 2021 Slot-1 (19th December):

  • Candidates should practice SNAP Mock Tests.
  • Candidates should practice previous year's question papers so that they get an idea about the exam pattern and the difficulty level of the question paper.
  • Candidates should have a habit of reading which will help them to score well in the General English section.

SNAP 2021 Analysis Slot-2 (8 Jan)

There were a total of 60 MCQ-based questions with four options each. The time duration of this exam was 60 minutes. Now we should look at the sectional analysis of Slot-2 to have a better understanding.

SNAP 2021 Analysis Slot-2 (Section-Wise)

General English Paper Analysis 2021:

  • The overall difficulty level of this section is easy similar to that of Slot-1.
  • Majority of the questions were from Fill in the Blanks & Idioms.
  • There were 2 questions based on poems (Daffodils, Solitary Reaper).

Analytical and Logical Reasoning Analysis 2021:

  • The overall difficulty level of this section was Moderate in Slot-2.
  • Analytical Reasoning questions dominated this section in Slot-2 similar to that in Slot-1.
  • 2 questions were asked on Truth & Lie which were not asked in Slot-1.
  • A bit of challenging questions were asked from Number Series.
  • Questions on Seating Arrangements were lengthy to solve.

Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency Analysis 2021:

  • The overall difficulty level of this section was Moderate.
  • Questions from Quantitative Aptitude were a bit easier in Slot-2 than in Slot-1.
  • Most of the questions were from the Arithmetic & Number System.
  • In Slot-2 also there were no questions on Data Sufficiency.

Learnings from SNAP 2021 Slot-2 (8th January):

  • Candidates should practice questions on Fill in the Blanks & Idioms.
  • As most of the questions were asked from Analytical Reasoning both in Slot-1 & Slot-2 candidates should practice more and more questions on this.
  • Questions from Number Series were a bit challenging in Slot-2 therefore candidates should pay attention to this topic.

SNAP 2021 Analysis Slot-3 (Section-Wise)

General English Paper Analysis 2021:

  • The overall difficulty level of this section was Easy to Moderate.
  • Majority of the questions were from Fill in the Blanks & Idioms and Error Spotting.
  • There were 2 questions based on poems (Daffodils, Solitary Reaper) easier to Slot-2.
  • The question on Parts of Speech was a bit tricky as it consisted of words of Old English. The question asked was "Napolean said while ..." Able was I ere I saw Elba".
  • The question on Voice was "Which of the following cannot be converted to passive voice"? thereby making the question a bit tricky.

Analytical and Logical Reasoning Analysis 2021:

  • The overall difficulty level of this section was Moderate in Slot-3.
  • Analytical Reasoning questions dominated this section in Slot-3 similar to that in Slot-1 7 Slot-2.
  • The questions on Coding were a bit challenging

Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency Analysis 2021:

  • The overall difficulty level of this section was Easy-Moderate.
  • Questions from Quantitative Aptitude were a bit easier in Slot-3 than in Slot-1&Slot-2.
  • Most of the questions were from the Arithmetic & Number System.
  • In Slot-3 also there were no questions on Data Sufficiency.
  • The DI question was slightly difficult to attempt.

Learnings from SNAP 2021 Slot-3 (16th January):

  • Candidates should practice questions on Fill in the Blanks & Idioms and also poem based questions.
  • As most of the questions were asked from Analytical Reasoning in all the three slots candidates should practice more and more questions on this.
  • Questions on DI were a bit challenging in Slot-3 therefore candidates should pay attention to this topic.
  • Candidates appearing for SNAP 2022 should practice SNAP Mock Tests.
