JPSC Prelims 2021: Last Minute Preparation Tips: Jharkhand Public Service Commission is going to conduct the Preliminary round of the State Civil Services exam on 19 September 2021, Sunday. The exam will be conducted in two shifts of two hours each for 252 vacancies in various departments of the state government. The candidates who qualify for the preliminary round will be eligible for the mains round of the JPSC 2021 recruitment process.

With less than 4 days remaining for the JPSC Prelims 2021, it is a time of anxiety and fast-paced revision for most of the candidates. In this article, we are providing you with last-minute tips to boost your score in the exam.

Notes:

  • There is no provision for negative marking in the JPSC Prelims examination.
  • The exam will be objective in nature.
  • Unlike other states, PCS Exams, the marks scored in the second paper of the exam will also be included in the final cut-off calculation and preparation of selected candidates for the JPSC Mains 2021. Though these marks will not be added to the final Merit list made after the Interview round of the examination.

Last-Minute Tips for JPSC Prelims Exam 2021

  1. Revision: Candidates must focus on revising all the notes and sources that they have studied from in an organized manner. It is of utmost importance that candidates must not panic and that they revise what they have studied the whole year thoroughly and with a calm head.
  2. Mock Tests: Candidates must try to revise through mock test papers and previous year papers. They should solve these papers in a timed manner to get an understanding of their speed and accuracy. Though candidates are advised not to solve question papers on the day before the examination. This might lead to depletion of morale if the score is not up to the mark.
  3. No New study Material: Candidates must ensure that their revision should be only through the notes and books that they have studied the whole year, they should not up completely new material in the last week before the examination. This can have a completely negative effect and might lead to confusion in the examination.
  4. Analyse your weak areas: Candidates must analyse their weak areas through mock tests and ensure that they give more time to these areas instead of repeating a topic which you are already good at. Make a list of these topics and study only these on the last day before the examination.
  5. The day before the exam: No candidates should study a lot on the last day of the examination. It puts your mind under stress and creates confusion on the day of examination. Candidates must relax and do some creative activity to help out their mind at ease and only revise the topics which they feel is required instead of reading the whole book again and again. This will make you feel confident that the topics that were weak are covered now.
  6. Exam day Instructions: Candidates must carefully read all the instructions that have been provided in the Admit Card. And make sure that all the things that you need to carry on the day of examination is read and prepared a day before. Candidates must double-check the address of their examination centre, and should not rely on Google Maps in remote areas. It is often inaccurate.
