JEE Mains 2021 Exam Instructions: Reporting Time, Rules & Important Documents

There are various regulations that the candidates will need to abide on the day of the examinations, ranging from the dress code to the stationery and required documents that are needed during the exam. It is really important to know the JEE Main instructions 2021 to avoid last moment hassle. There is a list of instructions already given along with admit cards provided by NTA, just to reiterate, we are stating few JEE Mains rules and regulations in brief.

Reporting time: It is advised that you must reach your examination centre 1 hour prior to the mentioned time in order to avoid hassle in finding the location as well as to get your frisking process done smoothly.

Documents Required on JEE Mains 2021 Exam Day

The candidates who will be attempting the JEE Mains 2021 examinations would require to present the invigilator with specific documents that have been mentioned by the JEE Mains conducting body. As per the guidelines, the following are the documents required on the JEE Mains 2021 exam day:

  • Admit card
  • For those who have cleared the class 12 board examinations - valid class 12 board mark sheet
  • For those who opted for improvement exams in 2021 - valid admit card or hall ticket for improvement examinations of Class 12th Board or qualifying exam.
  • For those who are yet to attempt Class 12 board or qualifying exams - valid admit card or hall ticket for class 12 board exam or qualifying exam.

To ensure that you are able to sit for the JEE Mains 2021 exam, all candidates will need to present one of the above-mentioned documents, as per the category you fall under. Failure to present the documents required on JEE Mains 2021 exam day will result in the cancellation of the examinations of violators.

Apart from the instructions that have been mentioned above, candidates must ensure that they listen and abide by the rules and regulations that will be spoken out by the invigilator before the examination starts. Therefore, it is advisable for the candidates to reach the exam centre an hour before the exam starts. Further, the candidates are advised to restrain themselves from using unfair means during the examination, which also include talking or passing chits during the exam. All candidates who are found using unfair means during the exam will be punished or debarred from the examination.

  • No, the exam will be computer based, there is no need to carry anything with you except a ball pen with a transparent body, a transparent water bottle, admit card and identity card.
