What is PGT Post in KVS Exam?
KVS Exam has different categories. PGT or Post Graduate Trained Teacher is for those aspirants who have completed their Post graduation in concerned subjects and B.ed and aspire to become a teacher in KVS Schools. These candidates need to complete a 2-year B.Ed Degree course to become eligible to apply for the PGT posts.
Eligibility Criteria for PGT Post
Before applying for the KVS PGT Post, aspirants must know the Eligibility Criteria for PGT Post in the exam. Is CTET Compulsory for PGT Exams?
So, the is No! CTET is not compulsory for the PGT Post. The Central Teachers Eligibility Test is conducted for the PRTs and TGTs. Unlike TGTs and PRTs, the candidates who have completed their Post Graduate do not have to appear for the CTET Exam to become eligible for the recruitment exams. The candidates must complete their B.Ed course as mandatory eligibility.

CTET is mandatory to qualify to become a teacher in private and government schools. After qualifying, CTET candidates can apply to any private school, or government-aided school, and even can apply to an Army school.
