CTET Certificate No More Valid for HTET Exam
It is worth mentioning that Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test i.e. HTET exam is an eligibility test conducted in the state of Haryana, which is necessary to qualify for teacher appointments in the state. In the order issued on 6 September 2021, the government had given the same recognition to the certificate of CTET as HTET for teacher appointments in the state, but it was opposed by the candidates for a long time. However, within a year of releasing the order, the Haryana Government has withdrawn the decision.
Since the news of HSSC Teacher Recruitment 2022 has been doing the rounds, the aspiring candidates have been raising concerns about the decision of the CTET Certificate being equivalent to the HTET Certificate. The Haryana State aspirants argued that it would deprive the HTET Qualified candidates of a fair chance of recruitment as the Syllabus and Exam Pattern of CTET and HTET is considerably different. Though CTET and HTET are both eligibility tests for teaching aspirants their difficulty levels are different.
The Government of Haryana has considered all such points and come up with the decision to withdraw their earlier order in favor of the HTET Qualified aspirants. Earlier, CTET Qualified aspirants who are also residents of Haryana were eligible to apply for the Haryana Teacher Recruitment.
