The INET was being previously conducted for recruitment of Sailors in the Indian Navy but now there will be a test for Officer recruitment as well.

We received a reply from Integrated Headquarters which was asked by one of the female aspirants, Ministry of Defense (Navy), where Hon'ble Raksha Mantri, Nirmala Sitharaman approved a written examination for all branches of the Indian Navy by the "Directorate of Manning Plan and Recruitment."

Not to mention that even holders of male and female diplomas who have completed their BE / B. Tech will be eligible for appearing in this test.
