Airforce Group X Eligibility Criteria

1. Unmarried Males Indian/Nepalese Origin 
2. Education Qualification

   1. For Group X 

      • Candidates must have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.  OR
      • The candidate must have three-year Diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a Government recognized Polytechnic Institute with minimum 50% marks in overall aggregate and 50% marks in English in a diploma or in intermediate / matriculation if English is not a subject in diploma. List of the eligible diploma course is available on website.

   2. For Group ‘Y’ Trades {Except Auto Tech, IAF (P), IAF(S) & Musician Trades) 

      • Aspirants must have completed Intermediate / 10+2 / equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
      • OR Candidates who have completed two years vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.
      • For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade
        • Candidate must have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Class XII or Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, also in English (Subject) in Class XII or equivalent examination.

The sequence of Airforce Group X Examination

1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

• Candidate needs to run 1.6 km within 6 minutes 30 seconds.

2. Written Test

• The written test will be objective type and question paper shall be bilingual (English and Hindi) except for English paper
• Duration of the written exam will be 60 Minutes.
• The paper shall comprise Physics, Maths and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.

Note: Candidate needs to qualify in each paper separately.

3. Adaptability Test-1

• It is conducted to assess the suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions.

4. Adaptability test-2 

• It is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.

The sequence of Airforce Group Y Exam 2020

1. Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

• Candidate needs to run 1.6 km within 6 minutes 30 seconds.
• Complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups and 20 squats within the stipulated time

2. Written Test

• The written test will be objective type and question paper shall be bilingual (English and Hindi) except for English paper
• Duration of the written exam will be 45 Minutes.
• The paper shall comprise Physics, Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA) as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus.

Note: Candidate needs to qualify in each paper separately.

3. Adaptability Test-1

• It is conducted to assess the suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF which involves deployment in varied geographic terrain, weather and operational conditions.

4. Adaptability test-2 

• It is to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and are able to adjust to the military way of life.

Place of the Air Force Airmen Group X Exam

• The recruitment test is for Group ‘X’ (Technical trades) except education instructor trade for Karnataka will be held at Manekshaw Parade Ground, Bengaluru & 7 ASC, AF. 
• Recruitment Rally for unmarried male Indian /Nepalese Citizens from the State of Odisha: Police Training College, Angul (Odisha).

Note: Pre-Registration for the rally will start at 1100 hrs on 08 September 2020 and will close at 1700 hrs on 10 September 2020 on web portal.

Airforce Group X Eligibility Criteria

1. Unmarried Males Indian/Nepalese Origin  
   1. from the state of Karnataka (Must have domicile of Karnataka)
   2. from the state of Odisha (Must have domicile of Odisha)
2. Date of Birth: Those candidates who are born between 17 January 2000 and 30 December 2003 are eligible to apply.
