Quantitative Aptitude Section Analysis Details (All Shifts)

Shift 1: Level of the exam – Moderate 

(i) Approximation – 5 Questions

(ii) Data Interpretation – Caselet, Single table and line graph (5 questions each, 15 Questions) 

(iii) Quadratic Equation- 5 Questions 

(iv) Arithmetic Questions: 10 Questions

Shift 2: Level of the exam – Moderate 

1. Missing Number Series: 6 Questions

2. Quadratic Equation: 6 Questions

3. Data Interpretation: 12 Questions: Table DI, Line Graph DI were asked

4. Arithmetic Questions: 11 Questions

Shift 3: Level of the exam – Easy to Moderate

  • The above analysis of the Quantitative aptitude of all the shifts shows that the major chunk of questions was asked from Missing Number Series, Approximation and DI (nearly in all the shifts). 
  • Do practice all the kind of DIs, especially Table, Line, and Pie chart. 
  • Please practice all these topics properly from the mock tests and try to solve them with speed and accuracy.

(v) Inequality- 5 questions

(vi) Word Based Questions- 2 questions (SPLENDOR, BRISKLY)

(vii) Number based question- 1 question

Shift 2: Level of the exam –Moderate

1. Puzzles and Seating Arrangement

  • Number of Questions: 18 questions: i. Circular Arrangement (6 people, 6 color) - 5 Questions; ii. Floor based (9 floors)- 5 Questions, Linear Arrangement (Double row - 7 person in each row)- 5 Questions, Order & Ranking - 3 Questions, Arrangement based (5 persons, 5 dresses) 5 questions.

2. Syllogism: Questions: Topic Details: Only a few cases were asked

4. Direction Sense: Questions

5. Miscellaneous: 3 Questions: This involves odd one out, word formation, alphabet-based.

Important Takeaways: 

  • The above analysis of the Reasoning Ability section of all the shifts shows that the major chunk of questions was asked from Puzzles and the seating arrangements like Circular/Square seating arrangement, linear puzzle, Box/floor-based puzzles. 
  • Do attempt questions based on all the topics mentioned above with speed and accuracy. 
  • Do not get stuck in any one puzzle, this may cost you heavy in terms of marks. 
  • Attempt easier topics like inequalities, syllogism, blood relation, direction sense, etc. 
  • Choose the puzzle very carefully, many students gave feedback that they couldn't attempt the reasoning section completely because they chose the puzzle in which they got stuck. 

English Language Section Analysis Details (All Shifts)

Shift 1: Level of the exam – Moderate

(i) Reading Comprehension – 8 Questions (Chinese education as compared to international education)

(ii) Cloze Test: 6 Questions

(iii) Fill in the blanks– 3 Questions (Single fillers) 

(iv) Word Exchange- 3 Questions

(v) Error spotting - 7 Questions

(v) Phrase replacement- 3 Questions

Shift 2: Level of the exam – Easy to Moderate 

1. Reading Comprehension: 8 Questions: Story-Based including 3 vocab based questions

2. Cloze Test: 6 Questions: Topic Details: Economic Development vs Economic Growth

3. Fill in the blanks: 4 questions: Topic Details: Single fill-up was asked

4. Word Exchange: Questions

5. Error Spotting: 6 Questions: Topic Details: 2 connectors were given. You had to identify which connector is joining two given sentences. The connector was a single statement.

Shift 3: Level of the exam was easy to Moderate

  • Fill in the blanks- 5 Questions - Single blank questions were asked

  • Match the column- 3 Questions- 3-3 phrases were given in each column which was to be matched.

  • Error Spotting- 5 Questions - 5 sentences from 5 options
  • Cloze Test- 6 Questions
  • Miscellaneous- 4 Questions

Important Takeaways: 

  • The above analysis of the English Language section of all the shifts shows that the questions were based on the topics like RC (the majority of the topics were on environmental issues), Cloze tests, Error spotting, and fillups. 
  • Be prepared for a surprise topic like match the column, word exchange, phrase replacement, etc. 
  • Accuracy will be the key in English Language sections on 19th October.
