Books Released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

  1. The Prime Minister released the following four books based on Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar's life, written by Shri Kishor Makwana:
  • Ambedkar Jivan Darshan,
  • Ambedkar Vyakti Darshan,
  • Dr Ambedkar Rashtra Darshan, and
  • Ambedkar Aayam Darshan

    2. PM released the Samvad Upanishad and Akshar yatra books written by the Patrika Group Chairman Shri Gulab Kothari. Referring to the two books, the Prime Minister said they are a true representation of Indian culture and philosophy and that authors play a great role in educating society.

Vice President Shri M Venkaiah Naidu

  1. '40 Years with Abdul Kalam- Untold Stories' authored by Dr. Sivathanu Pillai.
  2. ‘Loktantra Ke Swar (Khand 2)’ and ‘The Republican Ethic (Volume 2)’.
  3. ‘Bebak Baat’, authored by the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Statistics & Programme Implementation, Shri Vijay Goel.

 Books Released by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah

  1. The Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah released the Central Reserve Police Forces' (CRPF’s)book, 'Nation First - The Golden Saga of 82 Years' in New Delhi.
  • Shri Amit Shah said that this book will serve as an inspiration for the personnel recruited in the CRPF and will speak of the tales of heroism that have created history. Shri Shah said that this book will also help him understand the great tradition he has to encourage.
  • Shri Amit Shah said that it is a matter of great pleasure and pride that all the glorious events through the 82 years have been compiled in this book. While congratulating Dr.BhuvanJha on behalf of the Home Ministry and himself, Shri Shah appreciated his work in compiling the book. Shri Shah said that this book has beautifully described how the conspiracies of anti-national elements which threaten the unity of the country have failed and how they have been eliminated and how the CRPF has protected the nation.

    2. Shri Amit Shah releases a book ‘Karmayoddha Granth’, on the life of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi
  • A 'Karmayoddha' is a man with a beating heart for people, a statesman, a hard taskmaster, an able administrator, and an ideal leader who leads by example. All these qualities have been personified by Shri Narendra Modi", said Union Minister for Home Affairs, Shri Amit Shah while releasing a book ‘Karmayoddha Granth’, on the life of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, in New Delhi.

Other Important Books

  1. General Bipin Rawat, Chief of the Army Staff released a book on Paramveer Chakra Awardees - ‘Paramveer Parwane.’The book illustrates the bravery of Paramveer Chakra Awardees from 1947 to 1965 and is written by Dr. Prabhakiran Jain published by Medha Books. The book has eleven short stories, poems, and songs highlighting the history of the battles in which the brave soldiers sacrificed their lives and have shown the utmost courage & leadership while facing the enemy during War to protect the motherland.
  2. World’s first scientoon book entitled “Bye Bye Corona”, written by ‘scientoonist’ Dr Pradeep Srivastava, former Senior Principal Scientist at CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow, was released at a function held at Raj Bhawan, Lucknow, by Ms Anandi Ben, Governor, Uttar Pradesh. The book is published by Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous agency under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. Dr Nakul Parashar, Director, Vigyan Prasar, and Nimish Kapoor, scientist and head of publication division, Vigyan Prasar, are the chief editor and editor of the book.
  3. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Shri Prakash Javadekar today unveiled an e-version of the book ‘Connecting, Communicating, Changing’ the Vice President of India’s three years in office. The e-book was launched along with its print coffee table version which was released by Union Minister of Defense Shri Rajnath Singh.
  4. Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh released an E-booklet titled ’20 Reforms in 2020’, highlighting the major reforms undertaken by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) in 2020, in New Delhi on June 07, 2021.
  5. India/Bharat 2020: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar today unveiled Annual Reference India/Bharat 2020.

About the Book

  • The Reference Annual – India / Bharat -2020, carries exhaustive and comprehensive information about India and the activities, progress, and achievements of various Government Ministries / Departments / Organisations during the year. It is the 64th edition of the compilation.
  • Brought out jointly by the Publications Division and New Media Wing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting India / Bharat 2020, is a much-awaited annual publication especially for the aspirants of competitive examinations.
  • The Annual deals with all aspects of the country’s development – from rural to urban; from industry to science and technology to human resource development. The volumes give a glimpse of flagship programs of the Government; important events of the year. Major Initiatives

  1. The Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education today launched YUVA- Prime Minister’s Scheme For Mentoring Young Authors, an Author Mentorship program to train young and budding authors (below 30 years of age) in order to promote reading, writing, and book culture in the country, and project India and Indian writings globally.
  2. The launch of YUVA (Young, Upcoming and Versatile Authors) is in tune with PM’s vision to encourage young writers to write about India's freedom struggle.
  3. YUVA is a part of the India@75 Project (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) to bring to the fore the perspectives of the young generation of writers on themes like Unsung Heroes, Freedom Fighters, Unknown and Forgotten Places and their role in National Movement, and other related themes in an innovative and creative manner. This scheme will thus help to develop a stream of writers who can write on a spectrum of subjects to promote Indian heritage, culture, and knowledge system.

 

Highlights of YUVA (Young, Upcoming and Versatile Authors): 

  1. A total of 75 authors will be selected through an All India Contest to be conducted from 1 June - 31 July 2021.
  2. The winners will be announced on 15 August 2021.
  3. The young authors will be trained by eminent authors/mentors.
  4. Under the mentorship, the manuscripts will be readied by 15 Dec. 2021 for publication.
  5. The published books will be launched on 12 January 2022 on the occasion of National Youth Day (Yuva Diwas).
  6. A consolidated scholarship of Rs.50,000 per month for a period of six months per author will be paid under the Mentorship Scheme.
