IES Full Form in Engineering
The IES full form is Indian Engineering Service also termed as Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is an exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for the recruitment of engineers for various posts. The Union government appoints the IES officials based on the recommendations of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
It is a written exam that is divided into two sections and completed in four phases. It only happens once a year. To pass this exam, students must pass both examinations. An interview follows the written exam; only those candidates who pass the written exam are invited to the interview. It is regarded as one of India's most difficult tests because a big number of candidates compete for a limited number of seats.

The Indian Engineering Service is the IES full form, and candidates, in order to apply for the recruitment process, need to satisfy the following IES eligibility criteria mentioned below.
- IES nationality: The candidates applying for the IES exam must be Indian citizens or subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or Tibet having an eligibility certificate issued by the government of India.
- IES age limit: The age of the candidates should be between 21- 30 years.
