Disqus Name on GradeStack blog: D_007

Venue: Bhubaneswar, Odisha Gramya Bank HO.

Date: 20/11/2015

Panel: I; Timing: 08:30 a.m.

Part 1: Welcome and Interview process explanation:

All the candidates were seated in places as per the respective interview panels. Tea and biscuits were served. Then a representative explained what, how and where to go for the document verification, bio-metrics, language test and interview. We wait for our turns for the document verification and bio-metrics.

Part 2: Document verification and bio-metrics.

Name of the candidates were called as per the roll numbers and documents were verified (academics, work experience and any other documents which the candidate have mentioned in the application form). Then the bio-metrics were done with the left thumb scan. Then the candidates moved to the learning hall where the language test was conducted. The staffs were very cool and friendly

Part 3: Language proficiency test

I was given 3 blank sheets (for 3 languages) to write a paragraph on any topic in the languages that I mentioned in the application form.

It was very easy to manage. Then we were told to wait for the interview at the respective entry of the interview panel (chairs were present outside the interview room).

Me: I mentioned few.

M2: see you only mentioned few… and you’re saying you’ll be satisfied with banking job… you’ll always have to deal with these terms and products.

M4: What is break-even point?

Me: explained well.

All (except M2): good

L1: You returned from France, how you’ll deal with the local farmers here.

Me: Explained about my communications skills, motivation, adaptability, fast learning skills.

L1: Okay.

M1: What other bank exams you have given.

Me: IBPS PO

M1: Qualified.

Me: Yes.

M1: What would be your preference?

Me: RRB, mentioned the factor of being here.

All: Good (including M2)

M4: Read this newspaper.

Me: Read 2-3 lines.

M4: Stop, well.

M1: Difference between farmers in India and in France.

Me: Explained.

M3: After 1-2 years if you miss France badly what you’ll do (with smile).

Me: Again, mentioned same reason.

M2: Okay that’s all. Thank you very much. All the best.

Me: Greeted all and left the room with mixed feelings.

Conclusion:

Overall the interview was good but because of the chairperson’s attitude and stress interview style…I am confused about the outcome.

Good luck to everyone!

Thank you Grade Stack.
