1. What is the starting and closing date of Online registration for the IBPS RRB exam 2022?

2. When will the IBPS RRB exam 2022 be conducted?

IBPS has already released the IBPS RRB exam date for both PO & Clerk exams. IBPS 2022 Notification has mentioned that IBPS RRB PO and Clerk exam will be held on as follows:

a) Online Examination – Preliminary

• IBPS RRB PO & Clerk: 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st August 2022

b) Online Examination – Mains 

• 24th September 2022 (PO)
• 1st October 2022 (Clerk)

3. How many vacancies have been released for the IBPS RRB exam for this year?

Post-wise distribution of vacancies is as follows:

• IBPS RRB Clerk(OA)- 4483
• IBPS RRB PO(OS 1)- 2676
• IBPS RRB Officer Scale-II- 867
• Officer Scale-III- 80

4. Have vacancies decreased as compared to last year's recruitment?

Yes, the number of IBPS RRB vacancies has been decreased by approx 5000 vacancies in IBPS RRB Recruitment 2022.

Last year the number of vacancies was 13201 and this year 8106 approx.

5. What are the eligibility criteria for the IBPS RRB exam 2022?

IBPS Clerk eligibility criteria are different for different posts as described below:

• Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
  (a) Proficiency in the local language as prescribed by the participating RRB.
  (b) Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer
• Officer Scale-I(Assistant Manager)
  i. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent Preference will be given to the candidates having a degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy
  ii. Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB
  iii. Desirable: working knowledge of Computer
• Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager) - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having a degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy
• Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager) -
• Information Technology Officer - Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate Desirable:
  Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP, etc.
• Chartered Accountant - Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
• Law Officer - Degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
• Treasury Manager - Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/ institution
• Marketing Officer - MBA in Marketing from a recognized university
• Agricultural Officer - Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate
• Officer Scale-III(Senior Manager) - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates with a Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing, and cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.

6. I am in the final year of graduation. Am I eligible to appear in this exam?

As per the official notification," the result should have been declared before filling up the online registration form."

7. How many times can I apply for this exam?

There is no limit to the number of attempts. You can apply for the IBPS RRB exam if you fulfill all the required criteria like educational and age criteria.

10. Is there any change in the IBPS RRB Exam 2022 compared to IBPS RRB exam 2021 concerning the examination pattern?

There is no change in the IBPS RRB Exam 2022 as compared to last year's notification.

10. What is the IBPS RRB Prelims 2022 Exam pattern?

The IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2022 is same as the last year's pattern. There are no changes in the IBPS RRB exam 2022. Below given is the exam pattern of this exam :

• Office Assistant (Multipurpose)

• Officer Scale-I

* Candidates (for both posts) have to qualify in both the tests by securing minimum cut-off marks. An adequate number of candidates in each category, depending upon requirements, will be shortlisted for the Online Main Examination

12. Is there any penalty for marking wrong answers in the IBPS RRB exam 2022?

Yes, in both phases, 1/4 marks of the marks allotted to the question will be deducted for a wrong answer marked by the candidate. There is no penalty if the candidate has left the answer unmarked.

13. What is the selection process for the IBPS RRB Exam 2022?

It is a two-level process:

• Preliminary Exam
• Main exam

• To clear the exam, you have to clear both sectional as well as total cut-offs as decided by the authorities.
• The marks scored in the Main exam
• Candidates have to obtain a minimum score in each test of the Main examination to get shortlisted for provisional allotment. Depending on the number of vacancies in each state, candidates will be shortlisted for provisional allotment.

It is a three-level recruitment process:

1. Preliminary exams
2. mains exam
3. Interview round

• To clear the exam, you have to clear both sectional as well as total cut-offs as decided by the authorities.
• Candidates will have to obtain a minimum score in each of the tests of the Main Examination to get considered for the interview. Depending on the number of vacancies, a sufficient number of candidates in each category not exceeding 3 times the declared vacancies in each state will be called for interview.
