Steps to Fill the IBPS RRB Bank Preferences 2023
Now, let’s take a look at the common steps that you need to follow while filling out the IBPS RRB application form 2023.
- The first step is to click on the Apply Online 2023 link.
- It will redirect you to the official page and there click on Click here for New Registration.
- Here you need to enter basic details about yourself such as your Name, Phone Number, and Email address. Be cautious while registering these details and also, make sure that the name that you enter is what you have mentioned on your identity card such as your Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, etc. Always Cross-check your details before clicking on the ‘Save & Next button.
- A provisional number and password which will be sent to your mobile number and email address will be generated at this stage of the application post the above step.
IBPS RRB Bank Preference: Photo and Signature
After this, you will be required to complete many steps to fill out the complete application form. You can go through them one at a time –
- At this stage Upload a digital copy of your passport-size Photograph and Signature. Make sure they match the specifications specified by IBPS.
- Given below are the Guidelines to upload a Photograph and Signature for the application of the exam-
1. Specification for Passport size Photograph to be Uploaded-
(a) Dimensions – 200 x 230 pixels (preferred)
(b) The size of the file should be in the range of 20kb–50kb
(c) The picture should be in color with a light-colored, preferably white, background.
2. Specification for uploading the digital image of the Signature –
(a) Dimensions – 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)
(b) Size of the digital copy should be between 10kb – 20kb.
(c) Signature should be on white paper with black ink. - Make sure that the uploaded photograph and signature is not blurred or obscure.
- After this, fill out the rest of the details as specified in the application form, including Basic information, Educational qualification, and Preference of Banks.

(a) Basic Information
- Under this tab You are required to fill out many details about yourself such as your category, disability details(if any), the number of attempts, Aadhaar card number, name of the state from which you are applying, exam centers (For both prelims and mains), Personal details, etc.
- Under GST invoicing, select the proper address, which will be used to pick up a state for invoicing of GST. Try to fill out the same state from which you are applying.
- Verify your details to review if there is any kind of error in your application form. if there are errors, then rectify them and then click on the ‘Save and Next, button.
Note-
As IBPS does not ask for any domicile declaration in the application form, students can apply from other states as well, but they’ll have to provide a document to prove their proficiency in the local language of the state form to which they are applying.
(b) Qualification/ Experience/ Language
- Under this section, you are required to fill out your educational qualifications, work experiences(if any), and details of languages that you know.
- You should be proficient in the languages that you have mentioned in the application form.
- Verify all your details once again after you filled the application form and again click on Save and Next.
(c) How to select the order of IBPS RRB Exam 2023 Bank Preference?
Many aspirants ask these questions, i.e., What should be the order of Bank preference in IBPS RRB application form 2023? We are going to share with you some useful suggestions and tips that will help you to find out the perfect order of bank preference for you.
- The first and foremost point is that you should always remember that you’ll be able to opt only for the RRBs for the state from which you are applying. Example: If you opted for Rajasthan, then you will only be able to apply for state RRBs, i.e., Baroda Rajasthan Kshetriya Gramin Bank and Rajasthan Marudhara Gramin Bank.
- After this, You are required to check the checkbox which is present in front of the name of each RRB to select RRB in your preferential order.
- You can also edit the order in which you have filled out your bank preference through the drag and drop option in the preference section of the RRBs box.
- While selecting the bank preferences, Always consider these parameters like the number of branches in your vicinity or district of your choice, working environment, transfer policy of those RRBs, career growth options, etc.
After submitting you will be redirected to a new webpage. Here, you will be provided with a preview of your application form. Check the confirm checkboxes that are present at the top left and bottom left corner just below your image and signature respectively. Check the ‘I Agree’ box and click on ‘Final Submit’. Now, proceed to pay the requisite fees for the application form. Always save a copy of your Online Application Process after Final Submission.
IBPS RRB Bank Preference: Points To Remember
Well, many students are confused about the order of the bank preference in the IBPS RRB exam 2023. Given below are some important tips to keep in mind while filling the bank preference.
- The first question should be What is your priority? Whether you like to join a particular bank or you like to be posted in your hometown. You can select any one of these options according to your priority.
- If you want to be posted in the home town, then you should give preference to those banks which have the maximum number of branches in your locality/state.
- If you are North Indian or South Indian, give preference to the banks which have headquarters near your state or have the maximum number of branches in your state
- Keep in mind that you may have to work in the Bank that you have chosen for several upcoming years, so choose Bank and location wisely.
- Even within the state, give preference to the bank which has released the maximum number of vacancies.
