Hello Guys

Today I am going to share the story of my success story of IBPS PO 2017-18.

IBPS PO Success Story of Harpreet Singh

My name is HARPREET SINGH (HAPPY SINGH)

Qualification- I have completed my Bachelors in Commerce in 2016. And now I am pursuing Masters in Commerce.

The Future Belongs To The Competent. Get Good, Get Better, Be The Best.

Journey:

In the 2nd year of graduation, my teacher asked me what I want to become in future. I replied: “I want to become a TEACHER”. Then she advised me to opt banking as a career because it has huge scope. I agreed and then I decided to do self-study for banking exams. One of my 12th teachers advised me to purchase  ”R.S. AGGARWAL”.  I bought it but that time I don’t take interest in the book. After some time I focussed on it and completed it 6-7 times.

After my graduation, I have given 1-2 exams to gain experience and to know about the type of questions asked in the exam are asked.

Exam Strategy:

  • Quantitative Aptitude - As I told you earlier I completed R.S. AGGARWAL 6-7 times so this is my strong zone, I don’t need to put many efforts for this. But I keep in touch with all the topics on regular basis to strengthen my command over it.
  • Reasoning - For this, I do every single question posted on grade up. Do all possible things and make this your strength. The key rule for this is to practice more and more. My advice is to stay away from puzzles and attempt other types of questions which don’t take much time. Go for puzzles only if you’re extremely good at analyzing the right kind of puzzles by just reading it once.
  • GA & Computer - This section is a life saver for those who want to make up for other sections. It doesn’t take much effort to prepare for. For this grade up quizzes, tornado and weekly one-liner are more than enough.
  • English - This is my weakest part. In this, I attempt questions for which I am confident. I do maximum double fillers, reading comprehension and cloze test. Just learn the basic rules of grammar and watch lot of movies and series for the extra dose of words. Read anything that you can get your hands on because you get an idea of the structure of sentences and with experience, you can take a logical approach to most of the questions where you need to locate errors or fill in the blanks and those can be easily done using the same.
  • Make Some Strict Plans Like - Daily practice of reasoning and aptitude ques, weekly grade up section test & solve daily quizzes.
  • Websites Which I Followed - Gradeup, Bankers Adda, Affairs Cloud, Aspirants Zone

After all my hard work, I cracked the exam and got selected in IBPS CLERK at the age of 21 last year in CANARA BANK-TOGETHER WE CAN and this year I am selected as a PO in- ANDHRA BANK-WHERE INDIA BANKS

I would like to thank my family, friends & grade up teachers AKANKSHA JIGYASU MAM, SHRISTI MAM, NEERAJ MISHRA SIR, VIJAY KUMAR SIR, AYUSHI CHAUDHARY MAM, JATIN MUKHEJA SIR whose quizzes helped me a lot.

And this way my dream come true. So I want to say to all the readers and future bankers: NEVER GIVE UP.

Stay positive.

DREAMS CAN ONLY BECOME  A REALITY IF THERE ARE HARD WORK AND DETERMINATION.

All the best!
