To help you know the strategies followed by successful candidates, we are here publishing the success story of Mahalakshmi Sridharan. In this series, we are here with the success story of who has cleared the IBPS PO 2018 exam.
Hello everyone! My name is Mahalakshmi Sridharan. Following are the exams in which I have appeared.
Here is the strategy that I have followed during my preparation.
Reasoning and Quantitave aptitude
1)Whether, it is Reasoning or Quantitative aptitude first one need to learn the basics thoroughly and practice it again and again. I personally prefer the quizzes being posted in Gradeup and Adda247.
2)After making your basics strong, concentrate more on solving DI and Puzzles.
3)Test series on Gradeup and Adda247 are very much useful to practice.
4)The most important topics of the preliminary exam are Simplification, Number series, Syllogism, coded inequalities and quadratic equations which one shouldn't miss to qualify this exam.
1)The thing which I've followed regularly is attending a quiz on english with mixed topics in it, so that I came across the different pattern of questions .
2)For Vocab, one need to learn atleast 10 words daily and practice it regularly .
3)To crack Reading comprehension, One should have the habit of practising atleast one passage on a daily basis.
General awareness and Descriptive
This is the most important section to boost one's score.
1)One should learn CA, Static and BA on a regular basis and revise it properly, otherwise, one often gets messed up with things. Yes , it's really hard to follow on a regular basis. On those situations, one should atleast attend the quiz and read the description given below each and every question.
2)Gk tornado and Adda247 oneliners will be very useful to practice Current affairs.
3)In descriptive, the two most important things are Format and Current affairs. Just keep your format correct and include current affairs in your letter or essay whatever it is .
This is the game changer according to me. Because people who got 20+ marks greater than cutoff couldn't make into the final list and the people who just got the cutoff marks could make into the final list.
1)Confidence is the key which play a vital role here. Tell them something inspiring, so that they believe in you .
2)Read Banking topics to answer their questions. Even if you don't know don't lose your confidence, tell them politely I'll learn it quickly and learn once you reach home.
These are the following questions I've been asked in my interview:
Self-introduction, Mudra loan, PAN, PIN, Finance minister (both Union and for the state), NPA(gross and net NPA including), Pledge, Cheque clearance, Role of Po's in the bank .
Learning from Mistakes
This is the most important thing which I want to share with you people. People used to say that General awareness is the most important section in mains . After prelims result gets out, people generally stick with general awareness and forget all the other sections. The same thing I've done and I didn't clear SBI Clerk because I couldn't solve other sections in the exam Hall and my speed got reduced drastically. Always remember General awareness is just a part and all other sections are equally important. All the best to everyone.
