IBPS Clerk 2022 Selection Process
The recruitment process of IBPS Clerk CRP XII occurs in two phases:
1. Preliminary Examination
2. Mains Examination
Students are required to qualify for both these exams to get selected for the post of clerical cadre in most of the premier Public Sector Banks. The main thing to note here is that there is no interview process required for the selection of candidates after the main exam. 100% weightage is given to the result of the main exam result.
BPS Clerk Selection Process - Preliminary Exam Phase
The candidates need to be well-prepared and enriched with complete knowledge of the IBPS Clerk selection process to be able to pave their way through the recruitment process. The marks obtained by the candidates in the prelims will not contribute in the final result, however, the candidates must prepare well for each stage.
- Prelims Exam of IBPS Clerk is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in the Prelims exam will not be added for the final selection of candidates.
- Exam pattern of IBPS Clerk Prelims has been changed this year. In the Prelims Exam, the sectional timing of 20 minutes in each section has been introduced.
- The pattern followed for the selection procedure of IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam is mentioned below -

- Candidates need to complete each section within the above-mentioned time frame to qualify the selection procedure.
- Candidates need to clear sectional as well as the overall cutoff to be eligible for the next phase i.e. Mains examination.
IBPS Clerk Selection Process - Mains Exam Phase
The main stage of the IBPS Clerk selection process poses immense competition and the candidates must enhance and intensify their preparation strategy to ace through the recruitment procedure. You will have to complete the exam in the sectional time frame.
- Marks of the IBPS Clerk mains exam will be counted in the final selection procedure. So prepare for this section very smartly to crack IBPS clerk.
- IBPS Clerk Mains exam pattern is mentioned below -

- All the above-mentioned tests will be available in Hindi as well as English, except for the English Language Test.
- There will be a penalty of 1/4 marks for every incorrect answer. Also, candidates need to clear the Sectional as well as the Overall cut off in order to crack the IBPS exam.
- For Provisional Allotment under IBPS Clerk selection procedure, total marks out of 200 will be converted out of 100.
