Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has officially released 2000 vacancies for the Intelligence Bureau (IB) Assistant Central Intelligent Officer (ACIO) Executive Grade-II posts. This is a great opportunity for candidates who want to work in secret services under the Central Government.

IB ACIO Cut Off 2021 Details

Here are some important points on the IB ACIO cut off details:

  • Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) does not officially release the IB ACIO Cut Off as it is being kept confidential
  • As the exam pattern has also been changed. So, previous year cut-off may be varied with a wide range
  • When we discussed with many candidates who have cleared IB ACIO Exam, they have said that expected cut-off for 2017 General candidates was in the range 65 to 70 per cent
  • There is so much difference between IB ACIO old pattern and new pattern. So, rather searching for previous year cut-off, you must focus on your study
  • Earlier Tier 1 and Tier 2 were conducted on the same day. But from the year 2017, IB is conducting Tier 1 and Tier 2 in different stages. Only those candidates will be called for Tier 2 Examination, who qualify Tier 1 Exam

Factors Affecting IB ACIO 2021 Cut off Marks

Cut off for IB ACIO Exam depends on 3 main factors which are as listed below:

  • Number of aspirants appearing in the IB ACIO Examination
  • Exam difficulty level
  • Vacancies available in that particular year

IB ACIO Different Stages Cut off

The IB ACIO Exam comprises of three stages which are Tier 1, Tier 2, and Interview.

IB ACIO 2021 Cut off for Tier 1

Tier 1 is the preliminary stage of IB ACIO Exam and consists of 100 marks. Tier 1 is the first phase of the exam in which lakhs of aspirants appear to get qualified for Tier 2. In addition to scoring the qualifying marks, candidates also have to score the minimum cut off marks according to the category they belong. For Tier 2, candidates will be selected 10 times the number of vacancies available viz. 20,000 candidates will be selected for Tier 2 as per the IB ACIO 2020-21 notification.

IB ACIO 2021 Cut off for Tier 2

Tier 2 is the second stage of IB ACIO Tier 2 exam. This stage is conducted to select candidates for the Interview round. Candidates, in order to clear this round, must secure a minimum of 33 per cent viz. at least 17 marks out of total 50 marks. Based on the Tier 2 marks, candidates five times the total number of vacancies available (2,000) will be selected for the interview which means 10,000 candidates will be selected for Interview round.

IB ACIO 2021 Cut off for Interview

The interview round is the final round of selection. The final selection is done on the basis of marks scored in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Interview round. Selected candidates are then called for training. After completion of successful training, candidates are declared fit for recruitment for the IB ACIO post and are given the appointment letter.
