Eligibility Criteria for HPSC PCS 2022 Exam:
Basic Qualification:
For this Examination, a candidate must be either:-
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or an equivalent degree from a recognized University as on Closing date.
Age Limit:
The candidate (except for the post of DSP) should not be less than 18 years and not more than 42 years of age, on or before 01.01.2022. For the post of DSP, a candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years of age on or before 01.01.2022.
The relaxation in maximum age for various categories is available as under:

6 | Unmarried women. | 5 Year |
7 | Ex-serviceman | to the extent of his military service added by three years provided – (a) he has rendered continuous military service for a period of not less than six months before his release; and (b) he was released otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency. |
8 | Disabled persons | (i) 5 years (+5 years if candidates belong to S/Caste, S/Tribe, B/Classes) subject to maximum 55 years for Group A & B posts where recruitment is made through open competitive examination. |
9 | Persons who have already worked or presently working on adhoc/contract/workcharged/ daily wages basis in any Department / Board / Corporation of Haryana Government. | Equal to the period of experience on an Adhoc/ contract/ work-charged/ daily wages basis excluding the period of a break, if any, subject to attaining the maximum age of 55 years. |
10 | Deputy Superintendent of Police | 5 years to S/Caste, S/Tribe, B/Classes & candidates of EWS only. |
11 | Employees of Haryana Government or High Court or any Court Subordinate thereto, having at least 4 years service in a substantive or officiating (excluding adhoc) capacity on or before 01.01.2021. | Up to the age of 45 years subject to a limit of 3 chances availed after the upper age limit of 42 years. |
