HCS General Studies Paper
It includes the following subjects:
- General Science.
- Current events of national and international importance.
- History of India and Indian National Movement.
- Indian and World Geography.
- Indian Culture, Indian Polity and Indian Economy.
- General Mental Ability.
- Haryana–Economy, and people. Social, economic and cultural institutions and language of Haryana.

- You should revise the concepts that you have read so far in these days. Go through the HCS 2021 syllabus and gain clarity over your strong areas.
- Give a bare reading to the important articles mostly up to Article 51 A of the Indian Constitution.
- Give a bare reading to the Indian Parliament and State Legislature and read the chapter on General Exceptions in particular as most of the questions are asked from this section.
- Revise the list of schedules and articles that you have prepared.

- Make sure you do not start something new on the last day of preparation. It will only confuse you in the end.
- Revise Medieval History and Ancient concepts once. However, focus on Modern History should be more.

Before you appear for the HPSC HCS 2021 exam, take proper note of the following –
- Speed and Accuracy are the most important parameters that will help you clear your HPSC HCS exam. Maintain speed from the beginning so that you can solve tricky questions with ease.
- Please keep in mind that there is a Negative Marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
