Engineering Services Examination (ESE) is one of the most important exams conducted by UPSC. The exam recruits engineers as Class – 1 officer in bureaucracy and in public sectors such as Indian Railways, Power, Telecommunications, Central Water Engineering, Defense service of Engineers, Central Engineering Service, etc.
The ESE paper is only conducted for four branches viz:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
Steps to withdraw UPSC ESE Application Form 2022
Candidates who want to withdraw their ESE application form 2022 due to any circumstances can do it from 20th of Oct 2021 till 26th of Oct 2021 till 6:00 PM. We are providing the elaborated procedure of withdrawing the application form for the 2022 ESE.
Go to the UPSC official website i.e upsc.gov.in
Check out and click on the Withdraw ESE application form 2022 link.
Go through the instructions carefully displayed on the screen and click on the ‘Yes’ button.
Enter your unique Registration ID provided while filling the form and click on the ‘Continue’ button to proceed.
An OTP will be sent immediately to your registered Email ID and mobile number. Enter the OTP within 30 mins to confirm the withdrawal of the ESE application form 2022.
- Candidates are advised to provide the details of the registered application with the registration‐id which was completed and submitted finally. There is no provision for withdrawing incomplete applications.

As per the official notification, admit cards will be issued in about time three weeks prior to the exam date which will be 25th to 30th Jan 2022 as the exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 20, 2022. Importance of Withdrawal of ESE Application Form 2022:
- The main reason for withdrawal is that UPSC has to print the papers and allocate people at exam centres according to the candidates going to appear in the exam. Hence in order to save the resources, this option is given.
