In this article we will discuss how to manage to get good marks in the 12th board exam and crack CLAT with a good rank as well. We will share some important tips to achieve this aim with high accuracy.

The right time to Start Preparation for CLAT

Every candidate has their own way to start preparing for the exam, we recommended that candidate should start their preparation for the CLAT before one year or we can say once they entered the 12th class. It really needs a year to prepare for the CLAT with board exams because we need to devote a lot of time to board exams as well. This way will not affect the exam preparation for board exams.

Exam Preparation Strategy

  1. Find out your weak and strong points and work on them accordingly.

  2. To learn the level of preparation and formalize an improved strategical plan accordingly.

  3. To increase my accuracy to solve the paper and improve my time management skill which is the most important aspect while preparing for the CLAT.

  4. To understand the conceptualize of the important topics, exam pattern, and the marking scheme.

  5. Focus on the Syllabus rather than Counting Study Hours.

  6. It becomes a common tendency among many candidates to study on the basis of hours but if it does not work properly then this can’t be helpful to achieve the aim.

  7. So, one must not obsess with the hour's study and focus on the target or the syllabus to complete as soon as possible and save appropriate time for revision.

  8. Take a Break During Studies

  9. During the preparation, everyone must take a short break otherwise they will face the problems such as stress, anxiety, etc.

  10. Taking a short break will help you to improve attentiveness, boost Learning Productivity, Foster Social Skills, and help memory retention.

How to Balance the Two Exams

This is the important part of the preparation when a candidate is preparing for the two major exams otherwise this would create stress or become a reason for compromise to end up with one of them.

All the candidates are advised to complete their CLAT syllabus by December and from January onward start doing revision on weekends only, the rest of the days focused on the board exams. We are considering CLAT will be conducted in the month of May and the 12th board exam will be in the month of March. Once you are done with the boards, this would be a big relief for all the CLAT aspirants. Now, start your revision process for the CLAT and take mocks to test your knowledge. Regular revision and taking mocks would help to keep adding momentum and confidence, which can help the aspirant to get over the finishing line.

Preparation Tips for CLAT with Board Exams

  1. Keep targets.

This will help you to stay focused and stop laxing. Also, having a target will add motivation and help to complete the syllabus on time.

  1. Take short breaks during the study.

Also, don’t forget to take short breaks in between your preparation because studying for long hours ends up feeling exhausting. The study routine should be at least bearable, if not fun.

  1. Take mock tests and solve CLAT sample papers.

Mock tests meanwhile will help you test your exam readiness and remove any rustiness that may exist and the more CLAT sample papers you solve, the more efficient you will become at time management and solving problems. Also, your concepts will get clearer as you keep solving various sample sets.

  1. Be conversant with the CLAT exam pattern- Like what is the marking scheme, the number of questions asked, etc.
