Staff Selection Commission of India will be conducting the SSC JE exam on 14th Nov – 16th Nov 2022 at various exam centres throughout India. The exam will be conducted in two slots for Civil, Electrical and Mechanical from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM & 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. After the exam, authorities will soon release the answer key, using which candidate can calculate their SSC JE marks to plan their future course of action.

How to Calculate SSC JE Marks 2022?

SSC JE 2022 exam is on the 14th, 15th and 16th of November 2022 across India at various exam centres. The exam has a total of 200 questions out of which 50 questions are from GI & Reasoning, 50 from General Awareness and 100 from the technical subject chosen by the candidate. Each question will carry 1 mark. Authorities will also release the SSC JE answer key after the written exam. It contains the correct answers to all the questions asked in the exam. By using the key, candidates can calculate SSC JE marks based on which they can understand their chances of getting selected to the next stage of selection, i.e., the Mains exam.

It is important that candidates know SSC JE marking scheme in order to calculate their marks. Steps to Calculate SSC JE Paper 1 Marks

Aspirants who will be going to appear in the SSC JE Prelims exam can calculate their marks using the outlined steps:

  • For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  • For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Total SSC JE Marks = 1*(Total number of correct answers) – 0.25*(Total number of incorrect answers).

SSC JE Marking Scheme

The SSC JE exam pattern consists of a single paper with two sections, i.e. Tech & Non-Tech.

  • There are 200 questions in the prelim exam.
  • For every correct answer, one mark is awarded. 
  • No marks will be deducted for an un-attempted question.
  • 0.25 marks will be deducted for the wrong answer marked by the candidates.
