How to Calculate BPSC Prelims Marks 2022 – Check Steps for GS Paper Marks Calculation

Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) shall be conducting the 67th BPSC Preliminary exam on 30 September 2022 across 1153 exam centers in the state. BPSC exam is being conducted in one shift of two hours 12 PM to 2 PM. Once the exam gets completed, the candidates will be eager to know how they can calculate their marks using the BPSC Answer Key for the BPSC 67th exam 2022. The BPSC Prelims exam consists of one paper which is the General Studies paper. All the questions are multiple-choice questions (MCQ) with four options. BPSC Answer key provides aspirants with the opportunity to calculate their marks before the declaration of the results to start preparing for the BPSC Mains Exam.

How to Calculate BPSC Marks for General Studies (GS)?

BPSC Preliminary Exam is objective in nature. The Preliminary Examination consists of a single paper consisting of 150 questions carrying 150 marks. There shall be no negative marking in the exam. Hence, the candidates can attempt as many questions in the exam without any fear of penalty.

The candidate can estimate their approximate exam scores using the BPSC’s marking method, compare them to the BPSC cutoff, and determine whether they have a chance of moving further in the selection process. With the use of the BPSC exam answer key, the candidate can determine this approximate score. 

Calculation of BPSC GS Marks

Candidates who will be taking the BPSC 67th Prelims exam can calculate their marks using the following given steps:

  • The mark awarded for the correct answer is 1 mark. 
  • Thus, to calculate BPSC marks, add all the marks of the correctly answered questions.

BPSC Marks = Correctly Answered Questions * 1

BPSC Prelims Marking Scheme

The BPSC Prelims exam consists of a single paper which is the General Studies Paper.

  • There are 150 questions on the preliminary exam.
  • One mark is awarded for every correct answer marked by you. 
  • No marks are deducted for an incorrect answer by the candidate.
