How many Tier in SSC CGL 2022?

There are 4 tiers in the SSC CGL 2022 examination. The SSC CGL Tier 1 and Tier 2 examinations are computer-based. Tier 3 entails a descriptive paper that is written using pen and paper. Tier 4 also includes a test of computer proficiency and data entry abilities. The SSC calls candidates for document verification at the end of all the stages. SSC CGL Selection Process 2022

Candidates who have registered for or intend to register for the SSC CGL must go through the selection process. They will benefit from knowing the SSC CGL selection process while they study for the exam. Candidates can also learn more about the various stages of recruitment as well as the entire SSC CGL procedure. The four steps of the SSC CGL selection process are as follows:

  • Tier I – Computer-based Examination
  • Tier II – Computer-based Examination
  • Tier III – Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive Paper)
  • Tier IV – Computer Proficiency Test/ Data Entry Skill Test (wherever applicable)

SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam Pattern 

  • Four sections make up the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam: Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. 
  • There are 25 questions in each section, each worth 2 marks, for a total of 50 marks in each section. 
  • There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks each question and a total time limit of 60 minutes.

Thus, the total marks can be determined as follows:

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Pattern

  • There are 4 papers in the SSC CGL Tier-2 Examination, of which 2 papers are required for all posts.
  • While Paper 4 is just for the Asst. Audit Officer Gazetted Group "B" Post, Paper III is for the Statistical Investigator Gr. II & Compiler Post.
  • The total time allotted for the four papers is two hours each, and each question carries two marks.
  • Every incorrect response receives a negative marking of 0.25 marks.
    Calculating the Total Marks is as follows:
    Total Marks: Correct Questions * 2 + Incorrect Questions * 0.25

SSC CGL Tier 3 Exam Pattern

Candidates after completing Tier 1 and 2 are required to appear for SSC CGL Tier 3 in which candidates are asked to write an Essay/ Application /Letter/ Precis/ Report. SSC CGL Tier 3 examination is descriptive in nature and consists of a total of 100 marks. Tier 3 is introduced under the SSC CGL selection process 2022 by scrapping interviews, hence the basic objective of this tier 3 exam is to check the personality as well as writing skills of a candidate which is much necessary for a person to serve any government department all over India. 

SSC CGL Tier 4 Exam Pattern

  • SSC CGL Tier 4 will be the last step.
  • The duration of the examination is 45 minutes in total.
