Binary Fission is different from multiple fission because the parent cell in this type of Asexual reproduction gets divided into two daughter cells. But, in Multiple Fission, the parent cell is split into many daughter cells. Fission is the asexual reproduction mechanism observed in Bacteria, Archaea, and other species.

The splitting or dividing of a cell into two daughter cells is known as binary fission. Multiple fission is splitting or dividing a parent cell into two or more daughter cells. Both are asexual forms of reproduction in which only one parent is involved.
