Selection Procedure for HPU Assistant Engineer Recruitment
The selection procedure for HPU recruitment through GATE is shared below. Shortlisting candidates for Assistant Engineers posts will be done based on GATE 2022 scores. The further section process is discussed in the below points.
- Interviews will be conducted for candidates selected through GATE scores.
- Candidates must carry all the original documents for the personal Interview round.
- An initial screening based on socioeconomic GATE 2022 scores will be applied in a 1:3 ratio for Assistant Engineer jobs.
- After that, document verification will take place to choose candidates for HPU AE recruitment, and marks will be assigned based on socio-economic factors and experience.

Socio-economic criteria (20 marks)
The following are the marks for experience and certain objective socio-economic criteria:-

If the candidate belongs to a denotified tribe (Vimukt Jatis and Tapriwas Jatis) or a Haryana Nomadic tribe that is neither a Scheduled Caste nor a Backward Class, | 10 marks |
Experience: One mark for each year or part of a year of experience surpassing six months on the same or a higher post in any Department/ Board/ Corporation/Company/ Statutory Body/ Commission/Authority of the Government of Haryana, up to a maximum of sixteen years. - Interested candidates must apply online through the HPU career section's registration option.
- The system creates a 'Registration Number' when submitting an online application. Keep a record of this "Registration Number" and use it in future correspondence.
- Go to the "GATE Details" page and enter the information for GATE after filling out the essential information on the "Fill/ Modify Application Form."
- Then select the "Make Payment" option and submit the application form after successful payment.
