Gramin Dak Sevak Salary Increased by 400%. The Union Cabinet has green signalled the revision in the pay structure of the Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) of the Department of Post. The following revisions have been made by the Union Cabinet.

| Rs 2,775 | Rs 12,500 |
| Rs 4,115 | Rs 14,500 |
As per the above-given table, Gramin Dak Sevaks who were getting Rs 2,295, Rs 2,775 & Rs 4,115 per month will now get Rs 10,000, Rs 12,500 & Rs 14,500 per month respectively. The basic pay has been increased by 400%. The revision in the pay structure will require an expenditure of Rs 1,257.75 crore. 3.07 lakh Gramin Dak Sevaks will be benefitted by this salary revision. All the beneficiaries will get arrears from January 1, 2016.
