Tert-butyl Chloride gives a White precipitate with Silver Nitrate. It is the most stable form of 3° carbocation. Hence, it gives a white precipitate of AgCl immediately when the AgNO3 solution is mixed. Tert-butyl chloride or (CH3)3C – Cl forms the most stable 3° carbocation.
