You must have come across the term ‘universal truth’ quite a few times in your life. But what exactly does it mean and what are some of the universal truths? A universal truth is basically a widely accepted truth or a fact that doesn’t change with time and cannot be challenged. Hence, these are scientifically proven realities that are accepted without any doubt. Now, to give some examples of universal truth:

  • Sun gives us light.
  • Humans are mortal.
  • The earth revolves around the sun.
  • The sun rises in the East and sets in the West.
  • Water is tasteless, odourless and colourless.

Hence we can even say that universal truths are undeniable facts that are accepted by everyone and are not based on anyone’s imagination. Furthermore, they are also written in a present indefinite form and cannot be changed into past tense because they will always hold true.
