The GATE exam is going to be held in the month of February 2022. Individuals who have filled the application form as IIT Kharagpur can start the correction if required in their application form from November. In addition, IIT Kharagpur has open rectification facilities in terms of Exam paper, city, and category.
Candidates can make changes based on their needs; however, they must first log in to the “gate.iitkgp.ac.in” portal. Candidates must log in with their enrollment ID or email ID and password to make changes to the application form.

GATE 2022 Application Status and Correction
- By login into GOAPS, the candidate's application status can be viewed at any moment.
- The authorities will review the GATE 2022 application forms to ensure the correctness of the data.
- The uploaded documents will be reviewed by the authorities, as will the clarity of the image and signature.
- If all of the candidates' documents and details are determined to be in order, the application will be accepted.
- If a defect is found in the application form, it will be marked and communicated to the relevant applicant for correction through e-mail and/or SMS, which the candidate submitted while filling out the application form.

Changing the Category, City, or Paper in the GATE 2022 application form
Applicants must revise the paper from the GOAPS portal in order to make changes to the GATE 2022 application form. For students' better understanding, the detailed process of requesting adjustments is shown below.
Step 1: Candidates have to go to the GOAPS website.
Step 2: Applicants must log in using their email addresses/enrollment IDs and passwords, and then solve the Captcha before submitting their information.
Step 3: After login in, the dashboard will appear, displaying the enrollment ID and applicant name. Candidates must click on the “Change Personal Data & Exam City” button to make additional changes.

Photograph
- The photo must be in colour, and it cannot be taken in portrait mode or with a mobile phone.
- The background should be light or white in colour.
- At least 35% of the candidate's face should be visible in the photograph.
- The photo must be taken without a cap and must show the essential characteristics of the face, such as the nose, eyes, forehead, and chin.
- The candidate's face should not be hidden, and he or she should be facing the camera.
- Spectacles are permitted. They should not, however, be in gloomy colours.
Signature
- The signature should be written in either a black or blue pen in a rectangular box measuring 2 cm x 7 cm.
- 70% to 80% of the box must be covered, and the signature on the form and the admit card must match.
- It is not required that you sign it in capital letters.
