The criteria of Appearing in more than one paper and eligibility of the 3rd-year student for the GATE exam which was introduced in GATE 2021 will be unchanged and also effective for GATE 2022.
The National Coordination Board (NCB)- GATE held a meeting on Saturday for the official handover of GATE duties from IIT Bombay to IIT Kharagpur. The organizing institute has taken the decision to include two papers in GATE 2022.
Prof. Deepankar Choudhury, organizing chairman of GATE 2021 said that After demand from the shipping ministry, they decided to add Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering as one of the papers. Geomatics engineering – which involves the collection, measuring, monitoring, and archiving of geospatial data is also included in the GATE 2022.
Earlier in GATE 2021, IIT Bombay had also introduced two new subjects i.e. Environmental Science and Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Science (XS). The total number of Subjects in GATE 2022 is increased to 29.
