The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all-India examination and eight zones across the country jointly by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras & Roorkee). Every year GATE is conducted by one of the seven IITs or IISc Bangalore at regular intervals. GATE 2020 was conducted by IIT Delhi. GATE is considered to be one of the prestigious exam for Engineering graduates as GATE is a gateway to get admission into post graduate programmes from esteemed colleges.

GATE 2021 website is live now and this year GATE Exam is to be conducted by IIT Bombay! IIT Bombay has been decided as the organizing institute for GATE 2021 in a virtual online meeting held by directors of all the IITs.

IIT Bombay will publish the GATE 2021 information brochure (notification PDF) along with GATE registration link, syllabus, and the important event dates tentatively by end week of August or 1st week of September. The GATE exam is scheduled to take place on the 1st week of February 2021. The GATE registration link will be activated on the official site. Candidates should check the required eligibility before apply online for the exam.
