Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the SSC CPO notification on 17th June 2020 for the recruitment of Sub-Inspectors (SI) in Delhi Police, CAPFs and Assistant Sub- Inspectors in CISF. What is the online registration or application form applying date for SSC CPO 2020?
Online registration for SSC CPO 2020 has been started from 17th June 2020. You can register it through SSC Website.

What is the last date to apply online for SSC CPO 2020?
The last date for the online registration of SSC CPO 2020 is 16th July 2020 (up to 11:30 PM).

What is the mode of Exam – Online or offline?
The exam will be conducted in Online mode.

In how many phases SSC CPO 2020 will be conducted?
SSC CPO 2020 Exam will be conducted primarily in three phases:

  • Paper-I (Tier 1): It will be a Computer Based Exam (Online).
  • PET/PST: It will be conducted after the Tier 1 Examination. Candidates who qualify CBT will be eligible for this Exam.
  • Paper-II (Tier 2): It will also be in online mode. Candidates who qualify PET will be eligible for this Tier-2 SSC CPO 2020 Exam.

Note: Medical and DV round are also part of the recruitment process.

While registration, How old photograph can be uploaded?

Candidate’s photograph should not be more than three months old. The photograph should be without cap, spectacles and both ears should be visible. The date on which
the photograph has been taken should be printed on the photograph.

What is the exam date of SSC CPO 2020 Exam?
The exam date for SSC CPO 2020 recruitment will be as mentioned below. These are the tentative dates as per SSC official notification. SSC has the right to change the examination date for SSC CPO 2020.

What is the eligibility criteria for SSC CPO 2020 Exam?
Educational Qualification: Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University on or before 01.01.2021.
Age Limit: Candidate must have acquired age between 20 to 25 years. The age will be reckoned from the date 01.01.2021. The age relaxation will be as per Govt. notification.

I was born on 05th September 1994. Am I eligible for SSC CPO 2020 Exam?
Candidate must have acquired age between 20 to 25 years. The age will be reckoned from the date 01.01.2021 i.e. Candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2001).

What is the structure and pattern of the SSC CPO 2020 Exam?

The structure and Exam pattern for SSC CPO 2020 will be as follows.

  • Paper-II (Tier- II) will be of English Language & Comprehension. It will be conducted online
  • There will be 200 questions and awarded 200 marks
  • Total time duration is 2 hours

Note- There will also a Physical Standard Tests(PST) /Physical Efficiency Tests (PETs) which is mandatory for all posts.

What are the extra privileges an NCC certificate holder possesses?

National Cadet Corps (NCC) certificate holders (as on 01-01-2021) will be given bonus marks in Paper-I and Paper-II which will be added to the normalized scores of such
candidates.

How much extra marks will be awarded to an NCC certificate holder?

Normalized scores of such candidate will be awarded as per the following scheme:

Medical Standard
EyeSight:
Candidate should have a minimum distant vision of 6/6 and 6/9 without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses. The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision.

I want to apply for Delhi Police SI but do not own Driving License, can I still apply for it?

Yes, you can apply for the Delhi Police Sub-Inspector but you have to show your Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests. However, the candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for all other posts in CAPFs.

Physical Efficiency(Endurance) Test (PET) ( For all posts)

For male candidates only
a) 100 meters race in 16 seconds
b) 1.6 km race in 6.5 minutes
c) Long Jump: 3.65 metres in 3 chances
d) High Jump: 1.2 metres in 3 chances
e) Shot put (16 Lbs): 4.5 metres in 3 chance

For female candidates only:
a) 100 metres race in 18 seconds
b) 800 metres race in 4 minutes
c) Long Jump: 2.7 metres (9 feet) in 3 chances.
d) High Jump: 0.9 metres (3 feet) in 3 chances

Will there be any marks for PST or PET?
No, there will be no marks in PST or PET. It will not carry any marks and it will be of qualifying nature.

If I do not qualify PST/PET, will I eligible for Paper-II of SSC CPO 2020?
If you do not qualify PST/PET, you will not be eligible for Paper-II of SSC CPO 2020.

Will there be any negative marking?
Yes, there will be negative marking in both Paper-1 and Paper-2. For each wrong answer, there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks.

Will there be Interview after Paper II?

No, there will not be any interview in this recruitment process.

I am a son/daughter/dependent of Ex-serviceman, am I eligible for age relaxation?

Age relaxation is not admissible to sons, daughters and dependents of ex-servicemen. Therefore, such candidates should not indicate their category as ex-servicemen.
