Find the value of the node voltage v-

  1. +40 V
  2. -40 V
  3. +60 V
  4. -60 V

Answer: D. -60 V

The value of the node voltage V is -60 V.

Solution

By applying KCL at the node, we can find the current through 10 resistor.

So, applying KCL at the node gives

8A + I - 2A=0

I=-6 Amps

So, voltage across 10 resistor V= I×R= -6A×10 = -60 V

Then, the value of node voltage V=-60 V.
