FCI Manager Phase I Exam Pattern

In the FCI Phase-I, there will be only 3 sections which are the English Language, Reasoning Ability & Numerical Aptitude. The total number of questions from English, Reasoning & Numerical are 30, 35 & 35 respectively. Apparently, the aspirants will be allotted a time duration of 60 minutes to solve the entire FCI Manager 2021 Phase I exam. 2. Input-Output

• Questions of Input-Output are a bit tricky, but once you get the right logic, you will earn 5 marks easily.
• As seen in recently held exams, we noticed that nowadays they are not only based on the shifting of terms but also include mathematical operations.
• Practice this topic rigorously because you can easily expect 4-5 questions from the Input-Output section.

A maximum of 4-5 questions based on the updated pattern can be expected in the exam. New patterns of this topic have been asked in the recently held banking exams.

Read the statements and given codes properly first. If you have seen it carefully, you can check that all numbers in codes are even and the letters of words in the statement are odd. So we can say that there is some addition or subtraction in the number of letters of the word.

5. Data Sufficiency

• 4-5 questions are expected from this topic in the exam.
• Questions of data sufficiency are based on the other topics of this section like profit and loss, mixtures and allegations, etc. If you have a clear understanding of them, solving questions about this topic becomes quite easy.
• Go through the complete question properly. You’ll have to figure out which data is required to arrive at the answer to the question.

The miscellaneous topic includes:

2. Learn the ranks of alphabets to quickly apply the operations on them.
3. Have a clear understanding of the use of operations; “to the right/left of”, “in the middle of”, “to the right or left of” and vice versa.

• Blood relations : 

1. Here, the correct answer depends on the knowledge of blood relations. So have good knowledge on the same topic
2. Make a relationship tree while solving, do not try to solve it verbally
3. Be familiar with paternal and maternal relations
4. They might be asked with Puzzles also

• Order and ranking :

1. These questions are easily solvable if you know the basic concepts and formulas related to this topic
2. 2-3 questions might come from this topic.
3. Practice questions of left and right as well as top and bottom and between. There are some formulas for each type of question, learn those well.

• Direction Sense:

1. Have a clear understanding of all the direction names. Apart from four main directions i.e. North, South, East, and West, also know about North-East, North-West, South-East, and South-West.
2. Start question by considering yourself facing the north direction and then further solve the question
3. Practice such questions a lot to improve understanding. In some statements, rotation to the left or to the right is given. Always remember that rotating right implies clockwise rotation and rotating left implies rotating anti-clockwise.
