ESIC UDC and Stenographer Salary Structure 2022
- As per the official notification, the pay scale of both the posts is Level- 4 of Pay Matrix (Civilian employees) with Entry Pay ₹ 25500/-, replaced against Pay Band ₹ 5200-20200/- with Grade Pay ₹ 2400/- of 6th Central Pay Commission.
- Apart from this, they are also eligible for DA, HRA and Transport Allowance, and other allowances as per rules in force from time to time.

Job profile of ESIC Stenographer
- A stenographer transcribes spoken words by typing them into a steno machine, a kind of shorthand typewriter.
- Fast typing skills are necessary for a stenographer job.
- Stenographers must have a license and certification in addition to passing the exam.
- Stenographers must have a good command over legal and medical terminologies as well as a good proficiency in the English language.
- A stenographer is attached to a senior person and any speech provided by the officer has to be noted down by the stenographer.

i) Career Growth of UDC (Upper Divison Clerk)
After you get selected as a UDC in ESIC, your next promotion will be as an assistant with initial grade pay of ₹ 4200/- after you have served for continuous 3 years in the same cadre. This also depends on the vacancies available.
After the next 3 years, you become eligible for Social Security Officer in the initial grade pay of 4600/-.
ii) Career Growth of Stenographer
You will get good opportunities for promotion and career growth on stenographer post. The promotions will depend on time promoted on the higher post according to their working years. You can also avail of quick promotions by clearing departmental examinations.
