ESE Mains Admit card Released - UPSC has released the ESE Mains admit card 2023 on its official website. Candidates can provide their registration number or roll number to download their ESE Mains hall ticket 2023. The details like candidate name, roll number, exam centre, exam date, exam shift etc will be clearly mentioned on the ESE Mains admit card 2023. UPSC has released the hall ticket for all the four branches.

As per the schedule, the UPSC ESE Main 2023 will be conducted on Sunday, 25 June 2023, in two shifts from 9 am to 12 PM noon and 2 PM to 5 PM. There will be two papers in ESE mains examination paper 1 & Paper 2. Paper 1 will be conducted in shift 1 & Paper 2 will be conducted in Shift 2 for all four engineering branches.

Important Instructions for ESE Mains 2023

Here are some important instructions related to Admit Card for the ESE Mains examination:

  • Thoroughly review your e-Admit Card and promptly report any discrepancies to the UPSC.
  • Include your Name, Roll Number, Registration ID, and the Name & Year of the Examination in all your communications with UPSC.
  • Carry a printed copy of this e-Admit Card and present it along with the original Photo Identity Card, the number of which is mentioned in the e-Admit Card, for admission to the Examination Hall in each session. Keep the e-Admit Card safe until the final result is declared.
  • You are responsible for keeping the e-Admit Card secure. If anyone else uses this e-Admit Card, it is your responsibility to prove that you did not employ the services of an impersonator.
  • Arrive at the Examination Hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the Examination. Entry to the Examination Venue closes 10 minutes before the scheduled start of each session, i.e., 08:50 AM for the Forenoon Session and 01:50 PM for the Afternoon Session. No candidate will be allowed entry after the closure time.
  • It is advised that candidates visit their Examination Venue at least one day in advance to familiarize themselves with the location, ensuring a smooth experience. On the day of the Examination, arrive at the Venue well in advance for security checks.
  • Note that you can only appear at the Venue mentioned in the e-Admit Card; no other Venue is permissible.
  • Read the "Rules/Instructions for the Examination" provided on the UPSC website at https://www.upsc.gov.in, as well as the instructions displayed on the "Poster" outside the Examination Hall.
  • Your candidature for the examination is provisional.
  • Only battery-operated pocket calculators of the "non-programmable" type are permitted for use during both sessions.
  • Candidates must not possess or use any mobile phones (even in switched off mode), pagers, electronic equipment, programmable devices, storage media like pen drives, smartwatches (watches fitted with any special accessory), cameras, Bluetooth devices, or any other equipment or related accessories that can be used as communication devices during the examination. Violation of these instructions will result in disciplinary action, including a ban from future Examinations. Simple wristwatches are allowed inside the Examination Rooms/Halls.
  • Ensure that any blank spaces/pages in the QCA booklet are clearly crossed out before handing it over to the invigilator.
  • Avoid bringing valuable or expensive items to the Examination halls, as their safekeeping cannot be guaranteed. The Commission will not be held responsible for any loss in this regard.
  • Candidates without clear photographs on the e-admit card must bring a photo identity proof mentioned in the e-Admit Card (e.g., Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Passport, Voter ID Card, etc.) along with two identical passport-size photographs, one for each session, along with an undertaking.
  • It is advised that candidates wear masks or face covers.
  • Candidates may be required to remove their masks for verification purposes when requested by the Examination officials.
  • Candidates may carry their own hand sanitizer (small size) in a transparent bottle.
  • Candidates must adhere to COVID-19 norms of "social distancing" and "personal hygiene" within the Examination Halls/Rooms and the premises of the Venue.

Documents Required with UPSC ESE IES Admit Card 2023

Candidates are supposed to carry an original photo ID proof with IES Admit Card to the exam center. Any one of the following documents will serve as photo identity proof:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Passport
  • PAN Card
  • Voter ID
  • Driving License
  • Any other government-issued photo Id proof

Discrepancy in UPSC ESE IES Admit Card 2023

After downloading the UPSC IES Admit Card, candidates are strongly suggested to check all the mentioned details and verify them with the utmost attention.

  • In case, there is any discrepancy in the given information given in the ESE Mains hall ticket or if the admit card has not been displayed on the official website till one week prior to the exam, the candidate must immediately contact UPSC in this matter.
  • In case of non-receipt of UPSC ESE Admit Card, the candidate must contact the Facilitation Counter located in the UPSC Office either in person or by phone.
  • In case of discrepancy or errors in the UPSC IES Admit Card, the candidate must get in touch with the appropriate authority, requesting to issue a new one. The request must contain the following particulars:
    • Name and year of the examination
    • Registration ID (RID)
    • Roll Number (if received)
    • Name of candidate (in full and in block letters)
    • Postal Address as given in the application
    • Failure to mention any of these details will result in ignorance/non-consideration of the candidate's request. Hence, applicants must be vigilant about this issue.
