JEE Main Counselling 2021

JEE Main 2021 is the All India Level examination taken by lakhs of students for admission in different courses like B.Tech, B.Arch, B.Planning etc in different prestigious colleges of India. JEE Main 2021 will be taken after clearing class 12th examination.

Candidates who are willing to appear for JEE Main 2021 are required to fill the application form for the same which will be released in November 2020. JEE Main is undertaken by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which looks after the smooth conduction of the exam along with counselling and admission process.

JEE Main 2021 Counselling by JoSSA

JEE Main 2021 Counselling will begin once JEE Main 2021 has been successfully conducted. After the exam is conducted, the counselling process begins. In the counselling session, the candidates will be allowed to fill their choice of colleges in preference and can accordingly seek admission if they qualify the released merit list.

The following steps are needed to be followed by the candidates while appearing for JEE Main 2021 Counselling:

  • Register yourself by entering your required details.
  • Make a non-refundable registration fee.
  • As soon as the JEE Main 2021 counselling session starts, links will be activated and the students will be allowed to fill in their choices of colleges.
  • After filling up the choices, students are required to lock the choices. If not done, they will be automatically locked after the last date and no changes will be made.
  • After the release of the merit list, if the students qualify the list, they will be issued a provisional call letter from the college.
  • You will be required to visit the college to complete the further admission process.


The counselling process will be of three types:

Counselling by JoSSA

Counselling by JoSSA undertakes admission counselling for institutes like IITs, IIITs, NITs and many other government institutions.

Counselling by CSAB SFTI

Counselling by CSAB SFTI is done by Self Funded Technical Institutes for admission in various technical colleges.

Counselling by CSAB NEUT

Counselling by CSAB NEUT is the counselling session that undertakes the admission process in institutes which are approved by AICTE in northeastern states and Union Territories.

Admission in IITs, NITs, CFTIs

All India Rank of the candidates makes them eligible for admission in IITs, NITs, CFTIs. The admission is based on how the candidate performs in the JEE exam. Along with this, candidates of the general category are required to possess 75% in class 12th and candidates of SC/ST category the required percentage is 65%.

Admission in B.Plann Course

Candidates are required to score 50% marks in Maths and aggregate 50% in 12th standard examination.

Admission in B.Arch

Candidates are required to score 50% in all three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Maths along with aggregate 50% in 12th standard examinations.
