The JEE Main Exam Pattern 2021 is different for the B.E./B. Tech, B. Planning, and for B. Arch. The JEE Main Exam will strictly be conducted in Online Mode only.
- B. Planning was introduced in the JEE Main 2021
- The question paper will have Multiple Choice Questions as well as numeric value-based questions
- The examination will be conducted on different shifts.
- There will be a separate section for Planning-based questions in the B.Planning paper
JEE Main Exam Pattern For B.E/B.Tech
- The JEE Main B.Tech/B.E will have a total of 90 questions.
- The JEE Main 2021 B.E./B.Tech Paper will be of a total of 300 marks.
- 30 questions will be there in each subject, i.e. Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Union minister said that the JEE Main 2021 exam paper will have a total of 90 questions of which students will have to answer 75.
- You will have to answer 25 out of 30 questions in each section of chemistry, physics and mathematics.
The education minister also said that for the first time JEE Main 2021 will be held in 13 languages including English, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Kannada, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Odia and Malayalam.

- The JEE Main 2021 B.Arch Paper will comprise a total of 77 questions.
- The B.Arch Paper will have three papers, || Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing Test ||
- The B.Arch Paper will be of 400 Marks.
- Mathematics- Part I and Aptitude Test-Part II in “Computer Based Test (CBT)” will be conducted in Online mode only whereas Drawing Test –Part III will be held in “Pen & Paper Based” (offline) mode on drawing sheet of A4 size.

Medium of JEE Main 2021 Question Paper
You will have to opt for the language of Question Paper in the Online Application Form of JEE Main 2021.However, the JEE Main 2021 question paper will be set in English and Hindi Languages. However, Centre Cities in Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli will have English, Hindi, and Gujarati as their medium of question paper for JEE Main 2021.

JEE Main B.Arch/B. Planning Syllabus For Aptitude Test
The B. Arch and B. Planning Syllabus For JEE Main comprises the following along with Mathematics being one of the subjects. B. Arch. and B. Planning will have the following parts:
Part 1
Awareness of persons, places, buildings, materials, textures related to architecture, and build-environment. Visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawings. Visualizing different sides of three-dimensional objects, analytical reasoning mental ability (visual, numerical, and verbal).
Part 2
Three-dimensional perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms, and elements, color texture, harmony, and contrast. Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencils. Transformation of forms both 2D and 3D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes. Generation of plan, elevations and 3D views of objects. Creating two-dimensional and three-dimensional composition using given shapes and forms.
JEE Main Syllabus for B. Arch. Drawing Test
The 3rd part of B. Arch will have the drawing section which is to be done in pen and paper mode on an A4 size sheet. The syllabus for the B. Arch. Drawing section is as follows:
Freehand Drawing: Simple drawing showing the entire object in its right proportion and form, surface texture, and details of its components in suitable scale, relative location, Ordinary domestic or everyday life utilizable objects like equipment, furniture, etc.
Geometrical Drawing: Activities in geometrical drawing containing lines, triangles, angles, quadrilaterals, circles, polygons, elevation (side or front views) of simple solid objects like cones, prisms, splayed surface holders, cylinders, cubes, Study of the plan (aerial view), etc.
Three-dimensional Perception: Perception and appreciation of 3D forms with building elements, Visualization through constituting objects in memory, volume color and orientation.
Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity: Composition activity with given elements, Creativity test through uncommon innovative check with recognizable objects, Context mapping, Logic of colour grouping.
Architectural Awareness: General awareness and interest of famous architectural creations – within the country and outside, places and celebrities (architects, designers, etc.).
