By Shrayans Jain|Updated : September 16th, 2021

We are pleased to launch a new initiative i.e. Editorial Analysis for Law Entrance Exams. Here, we will be providing some interesting articles along with their summaries. This will help you in understanding the articles in a better way.

Aim of this reading exercise

  • The aim of this exercise is to develop your Grammar, Vocabulary, and learn the contextual usage of various words

  • Along with these, the exercise also develops your stamina and comprehension ability.

  • Regular reading helps you subconsciously, in developing the instinct to pick out the grammatically and contextually correct sentences, from the other close options.

Over the years, the importance of good comprehension skills for Law Entrance exams has increased. For instance, CLAT 2020 took a complete U-turn and focused primarily on testing the comprehension skills of the aspirants, which CLAT 2021 followed as well. Since RCs form the crux of a wide array of Law Entrance exams as well, it is imperative to have strong comprehension skills.

This free series is meant to bolster your reading skills, while also brushing up your vocabulary and general awareness as well. The motive behind this series is to get the aspirants accustomed to reading so that they don't face reading blues in the exams.

The first article, titled "Towards racial injustice: On George Floyd case verdict" is published in The Hindu. It takes into account the recent ruling in favor of George Floyd, an Africa-American who was brutally murdered last year by a white policeman as the author highlights what can be done to remove the racial disparities in the US.

On the other hand, the second article titled "Another migrant exodus reveals poor planning before disruptive lockdown" is published in The Times of India. It highlights the Delhi government's incompetence in dealing with the migrant crisis that grappled our country last year as the number of COVID-19 cases shoots up in the capital region.

Now, your job is to read the articles first and then move on to the summaries for a better understanding of the context. Also, please tell us about your thoughts in the comment section down below.

Until then, happy reading!
